Description from Strava:
My legs were still feeling the effects of my run on Sunday. I was at the office yesterday where I tend to climb a lot of stairs, so I could not rest too much. I could fit in another run this morning. It was still a bit dark when I got up and it felt a bit damp, but it was just misty.
I did the usual loop up the hill to Fairfield at a gentle pace. I had in mind that I could push a bit harder, but the legs were not willing. I just tried to keep going. Even coming down the hill was not so easy.
I saw some posts about the Standalone 10k that I did not do this year. Someone broke the ladies record and there also be a world record with a lady in the 75+ category doing around 45 minutes! I have never done it that quick. Ruth Chepngetich broke the marathon world record on Sunday in Chicago in about 2 hours 10 minutes. She took nearly 2 minutes off it. Amazing achievement. I am not expecting to break any records for now.
Enjoy your running.

I was a hot mess this morning too. I was able to string together three bits of 4 mph jogging for two minutes between 3 mph walking. I just wasn't feeling it this morning. I think I ended up going about 1.3 miles.
I wasn't sure I was going far to start with as my legs almost gave out, but it improved as I went on. You have to judge how your body is doing.
Yeah, it has been a real chore since I had Covid. Although I feel okay, I am not sure I am back to 100% yet.
Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.
