Description from Strava:
I dragged myself out of bed for another run. It was all damp out there, but not raining or cold. As I headed up the road I could see lots of blue lights. There was an assortment of emergency vehicles, but not much seemed to be happening. There are some bungalows there with elderly residents, but I may find out later what happened. People have been asking on the local FB group of course.
I headed up to Fairfield for the usual loop. It all felt hard work, but the hill is not as bad as the Stevenage one. I am just trying to get out there and build up my fitness to what it was before.
I saw a couple of other guys out running. There were some dogs wandering around at one point with no owner in sight. I wonder if they escaped from a house, but they did not seem to be running off so I left them to it.
There are lots of rotting leaves on some of the paths, but conditions are pretty good generally. I see that parkrun need volunteers again, so I may help out. I am not that fussed about running there for now as I know my performance would not be great.
I hope everyone is sticking to their exercise goals for this year. It can be tough to get through the winter, but it pays off.
Run free.

Another nice run for you. That's a cool building at the end there. It reminds me of the church that my inlaws used to attend in Ohio. No treadmill or running for me today, I took it easy and did some of the exercises the chiropractor gave me to strengthen my back and core.
That is the chapel at the old asylum. It's been converted into apartments now. Looked cool rising from the mist.
I did some stretching after my run. My back is not feeling too bad, but recovery takes time.
That's good that your back is doing better. I would have guessed it is or was some kind of church.
It's tough getting out at this time of year, I'm heading out tomorrow,,, urrgh!
At least it's getting light by 7am now. Not a big fan of running in the dark.
