Description from Strava:
Happy Valentine's day! The world needs more love right now.

I was out a little later for my run and that means more kids around, but it was not too bad. It is still chilly here, but I soon warm up. I went for my usual run around Fairfield. Going up the hill there was a guy coming down it quickly. He was doing some intervals as he then came back past me and I saw him doing the same on my way home.

I saw a couple of other guys out running. It is dry out there, but there are a lot of rotting leaves around. I heard the woodpecker again.

Along the track around the estate there are several barriers and step over boards. I expect these are partly to deter cyclists or bikers. They still allow horses to go there and I have seen some before. I make use of the obstacles to do some low level hurdling. You can see this one has a diversion, but others are harder to avoid.

This was my quickest run on this route in a while. I want to get back to be consistently under 6min/km and that just means pushing harder.

Since my run I have been back up the road for a haircut and so have done my 10k steps for today, not that I have that as a daily target. I think my running gives me plenty of exercise. I will be marshalling at parkrun again tomorrow and may run on Sunday.

Run free and have fun.

Pretty clear that people have found a way around despite the barriers! That's kind of sad really. Everyone thinks they are entitled to do whatever they want.

People don't always go where the path leads. It's still nice up there.

My goal is to have an at least 10,000 steps a day after work walking home, recorded using Actifit app. Not enough to burn some calories but it'll help, I think.

Running is more effective burning calories but in my case, after a few meters of run I felt like I hardly breathe. All of this bad experience happens right after the Covid vaccination.

Any exercise is good. I'm getting over an injury, but I enjoy running. Sorry to hear you are struggling with it.

Hoping it's effects will soon gone.

Lovely day for it! Once I’ve got rid of my cold, I’m going to give running a serious go again.

The sun has come out now and it's warning up. Getting good solar. I'm pleased that I'm improving with my running. It's just nice to get out there.

That's the key isn't it, getting out there! We've got some more kayak club activities coming up that I am going to film from the boat. So will share those (if any good) on 3speak at the time.

Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.
