@steevc just finished a 6.98km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
Description from Strava:
I was at the pub jam session last night. I took my ukulele this time for a change. Richard had his mandolin and banjo so we had a nice mix. We even had a small audience this time.
This morning was much warmer than recently, so there was no frost and I was fine in t-shirt and shorts. I did not run on Tuesday as my back has been a little sore. I think that is from the digging I did at the weekend, but it is not too bad. I felt up to running today despite still feeling it a bit.
It was the usual loop. I started off taking it fairly gently, but got quicker as I went on. By the time I came back down the hill I felt up to going for it and I was a little quicker than some recent attempts down that 1km stretch. I am still a full minute off my best time, but I need to build back up to that sort of pace. I am happy enough with averaging 6min/km over the run.
Work has been going on for a while in the new cafe up the road. Last time I passed the shutters were down, but I could see in today and it looks ready for customers. I also noticed some 'Daleks' outside a pair of houses that were due to be demolished to provide access to the new houses that are being built behind. I assume these are to deter urban explorers like @slobberchops. I have not noticed that sort of thing before.
It could get up to 18C today, but the forecast is for slightly cooler and damper weather. We have not had much rain lately. I am trying to persuade @todayslight to at least come and walk parkrun on Saturday even if he cannot do it all. I said I would walk with him as he tries to get in shape. If he does not do it all I can run the rest.
Run free and enjoy the sun.

I've been thinking about making myself a lil Uke... I have a neck built that would probably be perfect. I guess somewhere down the line.
I guess they can be simpler than a guitar. I have several from a very cheap one up to my tenor electro-acoustic. I enjoy playing them, but just have to switch my brain to the different chord shapes.

Here's the math for this. Pub jam session + morning run = ultimate balance, haha. Hope your back feels better soon. And the Daleks outside the houses, I’m just imagining them shouting, EXTERMINATE... trespassers!!! Lol, have an awesome rest of your day man.
Life is about balance. I can have the odd beer if I run it off.
haha very true man, technically if you can run it off you can have the whole damn bar 💪💪💪💪
Glad to hear you're easing back into running while listening to your body. Hope the new café turns out to be a good spot, and fingers crossed @todayslight joins you for parkrun as every step counts!
Some of them talk to you as well as relay live video back to a bored security bloke, who takes up to 30 mins to arrive, by which time you are done and dusted.. 😀
I'd not noticed them there before. I wonder if something happened.
That's easy, get closer, look very suspicious, pretend to climb over.., back off, wait 30 mins and you can ask the dopey guard.
