On Saturday, 25th January 2025, Agric, in Northern Ghana, experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event that should alter the course of modern history as all hivers know. The successful launch and inauguration of the 19th Hive Borehole marks yet another chapter in pushing back water challenges, using technology-driven solutions to enhance living standards.
Water scarcity has been a daily problem in the Northern Region, making daily life difficult for countless families. So the Hive Borehole is a lifeline, giving Agric and its surrounding communities clean drinking water. This campaign isn't just about water, it covers health, more opportunities for all members of society, peace of mind and a brighter tomorrow.
The chief, community leaders, and the entire Agric populated area were gathered together at the inauguration ceremony. Their mutual excitement and thanking of the Hive blockchain was plainly to be seen. They all recognised that this offering from the blockchain would help them solve one of their core headaches.
Meanwhile, local TV stations and news organisations also showed up to cover the release, bringing the message of big-hearted spirit, originality, and influence to as many people as possible. This amount of coverage is vital because it shows how the Hive blockchain is empowering communities for good as we encourage others to practice using technology for higher goals.
As project manager for this initiative, my heartfelt thanks go out to everyone within the Hive ecosystem who has had a hand in our impressive success. This project has confirmed that technology is not merely a lifestyle but a real force for transformation with meaning.
That Agric community's happiness and gratefulness are to be understood as sincere crystal. For children, women, and old people alike now have more convenient access to clean water, which reduces their physical burden as well as health risks to zero. With each bucket of water brought up, a whole new tale of hope and resilience unfolds.
This is not just a destination that has been arrived at but a stepping stone to a higher goal. Future projects are already being made to sink boreholes in other areas where the case is similar. The Hive Borehole Project is an outstanding example of what can be achieved when technology and people unite here on earth.
To all who have supported this cause, thank you for being part of such noble work.

Changing lives with hive.
There's one improvement I'd like to see in what I call 'The Boreholes of Hope.'
Water is heavy.
When I visited Africa, I saw a lot of women carrying huge containers of water back to their homes (why the men weren't doing this heavy lifting is a mystery to me).
Since we see so many women BENDING OVER to lift up these heavy containers of water, I'd like to see you raise the platform to waist-height, so that these exhausted women don't have to constantly bend over to pick them up and carry them home, injuring their backs over time.
Thank you for your contribution. The hive waterwell is designed to offer various methods for water collection.
Individuals can choose to hold their containers while the water fills. Others choose to carry containers on their heads while filling. Some leave containers on the ground. People from different communities utilize the well according to their preferences of collection.
Perhaps further education on the most efficient methods would be beneficial. Thank you again for your assistance @evernoticethat.
In some tribes in Africa, women and children bear the responsibility of fetching water for household use, while the men are responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep of the home, such as providing daily, weekly, or monthly housekeeping money, paying the bills, and other related tasks. Those unfamiliar with these tribes and their culture may assume that the men are insensitive, but that’s not the case, it’s more like a shared responsibility. I'm glad you witnessed this when you visited Africa but as to why the men don't usually engage in the act is what I have explained. Also thanks for the improvement suggested, going forward we will look into that. We always try to design the boreholes to suit the community's need or request and if they want it in a particular way we would will do accordingly.
maybe we can look into if theer si some simple way to make or order back straps or something to help with that, or water backpack bags, or i dunno, maybe we just need a way to allow for cheap pipes and some pumps altho thats a whole thing.
maybe we can come up with some new way to more easily transport or decentralize, distribute the water to more areas from the wells with delivery drivers.... like rent some water trucks or bicycles even to help distribute it to more points ,
water delivery drivers

I never know this project will go this far. All thanks to you leaders in Ghana who remain trustworthy all this years working with hive blockchain to lift up spirits of people who had no hope before now.
I hope to see this kind project in city one day as many people are suffering so bad because of lack of good sources of water
Keep up the good work
This has gone a long way in providing water and some other social amenities forbthe community
if we just keep promoting hive and you keep doing this work, eventually we will be noticed by television,
have you ever used any starlink in Ghana yet have you seen anyone with Starlink?
Also have you ever heard of meshtastic? that may be fun to use there but yeah lets get back to working on some sort of starlink router soon on hive before hive goes up.
The US crypto trump treasury news is pretty crazy, something big is going to happen with crypto i can sense it, and I think hive is going to finally pay off and your work will be crucial
We look forward to seeing this great day.
Wooow. Newbie here, I can’t help but comment on this humongous achievement. It was so relieving to see this and the pictures did justice to the grand scheme. Water is a basic necessity and it’s scarce in some parts of Africa.
Sometime last month, a water pipe supplying general water in the neighborhood where I stay broke and the water was pouring out on the ground. Do you know daily natives of the environment flock around the broken pipe and are literally fetching water from the ground and they do this daily. I saw them yesterday too. That’s how important water is. If they had a good water source, they wouldn’t be fetching water off the ground. This is a great relief to the neighborhood. Good job, Weldone to the project manager team @mcsamm and @collinz. The people would be ever glad. Hive is indeed changing lives. Hive to the world.
