Veggies are good. There is what is called a Diabetic plate... 1/4 of what you have on that plate is carbs (eg rice, corn or millet), another 1/4 should be proteins (like meat, fish, eggs) and half of the plate must be leafy vegetables you have on your garden.

This diabetic plate is not just for people with diabetes, but could be used by any one else because it's healthy
