I sometimes decides to make snacks instead of eating shit from the Supermarket or having to buy expensive bars and such.
There is a Company called The Protein Kitchen and they make some fairly clean products now and then! Its my go to snack if I am on the road! But its fairly expensive in the long run.
My go-to bar is made with: Dates, Nuts & Egg whites. Nothing extra added but it also cost around $3 per bar for 55g xD
So I wanted to recreate it and I did do so to some extend. Mine was not has sturdy as theirs are, but it tasted the same, so thats a win!
I did the calculation for a 50g bar and not 55g just to make it easier.
Back to using sheets :p
I just eat no chocolate, sugar, snacks at all.
^^
But you just made me wanna make some by my own :3
That is best!
I strive to come to that point sometime in my life time!
But I am not there yet :p
I just had no money ^^
Also have to focus a lot on my health, to not suffer too much under my permanent pain & cramps
Having no money is a fantastic motivator for not eating :P
Very practical & yet, it keeps the creativity up! :D
Guess everybody could focus more on their health in this time and age :D
That's pretty sweet :) How much would you say making 50g of your bar costs? How much exactly are you saving by cooking it yourself?
I think im gonna prep my own meals at home from now on. I hemorrhage money buying from restaurants all the time.
Hmm, I don't remember the cost of all of the items, but I can make a ballpark prediction :D
I think it comes out to a little less than $1 per bar. I only stopped at 11 bars, since I ran out of Dates.
I still have 1/2 of Eggwhites left + 1/2 of Nuts.
So the actually cost is properly closer to $0.5 per bar, which is pretty good!
Ohh yes. I have been prepping food most days for work, its so much cheaper and healthier!
Ohh. I forgot the cost of the Cocoa. The Cocoa I have is very expensive, but I didn't use a lot xD 3g of Cocoa per bar.

Wow good friend It's very smart to make your own snacks instead of always buying from the store. I've tried some from The Protein Kitchen too, but they can get very pricey. Homemade might not be as sturdy, but taste matters most and I'm loving the look of what you're doing man😍
Its cheaper and healthier :P
Yes! The Protein Kitchen is good, but pricey! :D
Its amazing!
I think I got the cost down to around $0.5 per bar instead of the $3 per bar from The Protein Kitchen :D
That's was a great deal for the cost 👌👌👌😋😋
