He had a deep knowledge of history.
History in school is a lot to remember.
I was not good at it.
But when I went to museums, shrines and temples with him
I was shocked by his erudition.
We broke up after a while, but
I wish I could have stolen his deep knowledge.
"Zoukei” means to have a deep knowledge or a superior skill in academics, arts, and so on.
I now think that if you have a deep knowledge of something, you have more depth as a human being.
I depicted such a thought with a composition of lace and gold, etc., in colors that give a solemn feeling.

「造詣」

彼は歴史に造詣が深かった
学校で習う歴史は覚えることが多いから
私は苦手だったのだけど
彼と一緒に博物館や神社仏閣へ行って
その博学ぶりに衝撃を受けたのだった
しばらくして別れたのだけれど
造詣の深さは盗みたかったな
「造詣」とは、学問や芸術などにおいて、深い知識や優れた技量を極めていること、という意味です。
何かに造詣が深いと人間的にも深みが増すと、今となっては思います。
そんな思いを、厳かな感じの色のレースと黄金などで構成して描きました。
