Yesterday I had to go to a job interview at Hidrocapital, in the city of Caracas, I did not know the location very well, so I had to ask little by little to get there.
Ayer me toco ir a una entrevista de trabajo en Hidrocapital, en la ciudad de Caracas, no sabía muy bien la ubicación, así que tuve que ir preguntando poco a poco para poder llegar.
As I walked, I came to recognize the area I was passing through, it was the Caracas cable car, the first time I walked by it.
A medida que caminaba, llegue a reconocer la zona por la cual estaba pasando, era el teleférico de Caracas, primera vez que paso caminando cerca de él.
I kept walking until I finally arrived at the headquarters of Hidrocapital, I identified it by the color blue, a clear representation of water by us, human beings.
Seguí caminando hasta que por fin llegue a la sede de Hidrocapital, la identifique por el color azul, una clara representación del agua por parte de nosotros, los seres humanos.
I accept that it was a very large institution, but I was very sure of myself, so I went to see what this job opportunity that life presented to me was all about.
Acepto que era una institución muy grande, pero estaba muy seguro de mi, así que fui a ver, de que trataba esta oportunidad laboral que me presentaba la vida.
Once I arrived, I was taken to the office of the head of communications, and he began to introduce me to the position they wanted to assign me, which would be an editor, I was not very sure about the job proposal, so the best way to evaluate was to work, so I told the manager to assign me an edition.
Una vez que llegue, me llevaron a la oficina del jefe de comunicaciones, y este empezó a presentarme el cargo que me querían asignar, el cual seria de editor, no estaba muy seguro de la propuesta laboral, así que la mejor forma de evaluar era trabajando, así que le dije al encargado que me asignara una edición.
Afterwards, I was taken to the editing room, and the truth is that I found it to be an incredibly beautiful place for an editor. As I sat down, the first thing I asked was, where is the material I have to edit?
Posteriormente, me llevaron a la sala de edición, y la verdad es que me pareció un lugar increíblemente hermoso para un editor, al sentarme lo primero que pregunte fue, ¿dónde está el material que tengo que editar?
It turns out that the material I had was passed to me by telegram, I was able to download it, but the internet was slow, so I lost about two hours without doing anything, then the journalists arrived at about 4, taking into account that my departure time was 5, well, it turns out that I ended up leaving at 7:30 at night.
Resulta que el material que tenía me lo paso por telegram, me pude a descargarlo, pero el internet era lento, así que perdí como dos horas sin hacer nada, luego llegaron los periodistas como a eso de las 4, tomando en cuenta que mi horario de salida eran las 5, bueno, resulta que termine saliendo a las 7 y 30 de la noche.
I loved the experience of editing in a place like this, but the truth is that I did not really like the dynamics that they handle, since the editor is responsible for all the material that arrives, I have no problem with that, the issue is the time required for delivery and the different formats to edit the same video, besides they wanted me to lower my afro and beard, the truth is that we are in 2022, and I am not interested in adapting to this type of work system, I know that the Hive has dropped and lately I have not been voted much, but I think I can if I dedicate that energy to my projects instead of dedicating it to an institution, possibly I can generate much more fruit than $ 300 monthly, without anything else to tell you thank you very much for joining me in this post.
Esta fotografía me la hice como despedida del lugar, me encanto la experiencia de editar en un lugar así, pero la verdad, es que no me gusto mucho la dinámica a que manejan, ya que, el editor, es el responsable de todo el material que llega, no tengo problema por eso, la cuestión es el tiempo que exigen para la entrega y los diferentes formatos que hay que editar del mismo video, aparte querían que me rebajara el afro y la barba, la verdad es que estamos en el 2022, y no me interesa adaptarme a este tipo de sistema laboral, sé que el Hive ha bajado y últimamente no me han votado mucho, pero creo que puedo si dedico esa energía de trabajo a mis proyectos en vez de dedicárselo a una institución, posiblemente podre generar muchos más frutos que 300 $ mensual, sin más nada que decirles muchas gracias por acompañarme en este post.

Pero qué tenía que ver la barba y el pelo con el trabajo de editor jajajaja. Si trabajaras en un restaurante o algo relacionado a los alimentos sería completamente entendible, pero en este caso parecía puro capricho. Que bueno que te hayan dado un día de prueba, a veces uno toma los trabajos y se dan cuenta de que no les gusta pero tienen que cumplir un periodo más largo. Ya vas a conseguir algo mejor ❣️.

Jajajaja si, la verdad es que no tenia nada de sentido esa exigencia de la barba y el afro, una completa locura, y si, después de ese día de prueba logre tomar una muy buena decisión de no regresar más, se que vendrán mejores oportunidades. Muchas gracias por leer mi post.
