Hello friends, I hope you are all very well, here sending good vibes to all of you and have a nice weekend with your family. In Argentina it will be a long weekend and hopefully we can do something fun with the family.
Con mis hijos somos fans de muchas series en Netflix. La que más me encanta a mí es Grey's Anatomy y sinceramente vi muchos capítulos, más de una vez y lo seguiría viendo 😁. Pero viendo las realidades de los chicos que están muchas horas quietos, debemos como padres hacer algo. Ejemplo, Don Juan se levanta después de 6 horas durmiendo, se sienta a desayunar y luego va al colegio (por suerte caminando). Gran parte de la mañana se la pasa sentado (porque hoy en día, si el niño no quiere hacer actividad física, no hay que obligarlo, cosas de estos días). Vuelve a casa por suerte caminando y nuevamente se sienta a hacer tareas o con su celular. Entonces, si hacemos las cuentas, son muy pocas horas de movimiento. Es por eso, que nos tomamos un momento del fin de semana para sacarlo de casa.

With my kids we are fans of many series on Netflix. The one I love the most is Grey's Anatomy and honestly I watched many episodes, more than once and I would still watch it 😁. But seeing the realities of kids who sit still for many hours, we must as parents do something. Example, Don Juan wakes up after 6 hours sleeping, sits down for breakfast and then goes to school (luckily walking). He spends most of the morning sitting down (because nowadays, if the child doesn't want to do physical activity, we don't have to force him to do it, these days). Luckily, he comes home walking and sits down again to do homework or with his cell phone. So, if we do the math, there are very few hours of movement. That's why we take a moment out of the weekend to get him out of the house.
Cuando prometo sorpresas en el camino, los niños felices. Al que más me cuesta convencer es al niño más grande 😁. Es que cuando venimos de entrenar, él ya quiere comer algo rico, tomar una copa de algo y descansar. En cambio, yo pienso en los niños y me obligo a hacerlo, por más que también tenga ganas de descansar. Por suerte, lo convencimos para ir a la verdulería de la vieja estación caminando. Todos con mochilas, de manera de repartir las bolsas y traer la mayor cantidad posible de ofertas.

When I promise surprises along the way, the children are happy. The one I have the hardest time convincing is the older boy 😁. When we come back from training, he already wants to eat something delicious, have a drink and rest. On the other hand, I think about the kids and I force myself to do it, even though I also want to rest. Luckily, we convinced him to walk to the greengrocer's at the old station. We all carry backpacks, so that we can divide up the bags and bring as many bargains as possible.
Miren a este niño, con ese pelo que le queda tan bien 😍 o será que lo veo así porque soy la madre 😃. Feliz por su cuarto de helado para compartir que compramos. Mientras hacíamos un descanso para comer el helado, nos dimos cuenta de que estaba por comenzar a llover y fuimos rápidos a la verdulería para buscar un lugar donde no mojarnos. Al final fueron tan solo unas gotas y lo peor es que la verdulería estaba vacía de mercadería. No sé qué paso, pero parece que como hubo manifestación el día anterior no entro la mercadería. Frustrados emprendimos el regreso.

Look at this kid, with that hair that looks so good on him 😍 or could it be that I see him like that because I'm the mom 😃. Happy for his quart of ice cream to share that we bought. While we were taking a break to eat the ice cream, we noticed that it was about to start raining and went quickly to the greengrocer to find a place where we wouldn't get wet. In the end it was just a few drops and the worst thing was that the grocery store was empty of merchandise. I don't know what happened, but it seems that since there was a demonstration the day before, the merchandise didn't come in. Frustrated we started our way back.
Mientras regresábamos me acordé de que pasamos por otra verdulería y propuse pasar por ahí. Fuimos y la verdad no nos gustaron los precios. Solo compramos algo de papas y ajo. Volvimos caminando, rogando que no se largue la lluvia que dé a rato se pronunciaba.

On our way back I remembered that we passed by another greengrocer's and I suggested that we go there. We went and we didn't really like the prices. We only bought some potatoes and garlic. We walked back, praying that the rain would not come, as it was beginning to fall.
Finalmente, llegamos a casa y como toda madre ya tenía la salsa lista para el almuerzo. Por cierto, lo hice con araucarias que verdaderamente son deliciosas. La aplicación nos dijo que hicimos casi 11 km de caminatas. No estuvo nada mal y los chicos ni se quejaron. Seguramente lo seguiremos haciendo.

Finally, we got home and like every mother I had the sauce ready for lunch. By the way, I made it with araucarias which are really delicious. The app told us that we did almost 11 km of walking. Not bad at all and the kids didn't even complain. We will surely keep doing it.
