Hello friends architecture lovers, I wish you are healthy and happy and have an excellent weekend, continuing the tour of the city of Puerto Ordaz I share with you my visit to the Orinokia shopping center, it is one of the largest malls in the city, previously I told you about the exterior design of this establishment, which includes its beautiful and characteristic waterfalls, the different access doors, parking areas, informative signs of the squares, among others, today we will know the charming interior design of the mall, entering through the last waterfall very close to cinemas united, when crossing the door we find a wide corridor and the salta park station, a place for children's fun, along the establishment has several points with various attractions; climbing ramps, carts, machines and much more, also has toy stores and a great variety of them, ideal for choosing the gift of the baby Jesus, I was surprised to see several toys of the famous animated series Dragon Ball Z and other known characters from animated series that are part of the carts and game machines.
Next to the first station of the salta park is the cinema, on the wall you can see the advertising posters that promote the different movies, then the corridor that leads to the movie theater, to the left of the corridor the box office to purchase tickets and cotufas, moving forward we find a large oval dome formed by iron bars, It is white and its base is a large tube from which several smaller tubes are detached in turn that support this dome, the base is shaped like a tree and branches that extend to various points of the dome, on the sides there are small glass windows that allow the passage of light, the design of the dome is amazing, its oval shape rises in the center, where is located a circular window with bars, which favors the solar lighting, I loved this design and it is my favorite part of the mall, its structure and shape are imposing, the architects definitely did a great job that draws attention and adds a unique style to the mall, another interesting aspect are the lower and upper floors, you realize its existence when you have toured much of the commercial establishment and see the stairs leading to this area, certainly an impressive building.
Advancing in the tour, after the fair, we have a broad view of the dome, its structure extends through several areas; the food fair, the optical and a wide corridor that leads us to other smaller corridors, as we move forward, we observe the identifications of the different squares with their respective ore, these are located in a white iron bar, with the characteristic colorful arches that identify the mall, among the food stores are located; McDonald's and other food franchises, we also see the different corridors with stores such as; Lee, blumer's palace and several ice cream stores located in the surroundings of the fair, then we arrive to Merú square, where we find another food fair and a great variety of stores on the sides, we continue moving forward and we find the benches where you can rest, the ceiling in this hallway is totally different, it is flat and rectangular with lateral cornices, It is white with a luminous plate in the center where the sunlight enters, in a wider view of this space you can see the lights around the corridor, we continue and we arrive to the Merú plaza in the Acero sector, here we get sports stores, we can see that the floor is completely granite, the plants are located in square gardens with a protective fence that identifies the mall.
One of the stores that caught my attention was Decoré, for its beautiful furniture and home utensils, the colors are sober and elegant, for several minutes I observed the items in this store, as I advanced the next one was nicer than the previous one, faced with the indecision of not knowing what to buy I decided to go out and tour other areas heh, heh; in another of the aisles we found the Gina store and an exhibition of motorcycles, which are the prizes for the lucky buyers in the Christmas season, back to the play station we can appreciate much better the oval shape of the dome and under it the carts for the children's fun, in another aisle we got the logos of the oster and daka store and in the next photo we appreciate much better the shape of the dome, it has wavy, oval and straight lines that create a nice visual effect.
Continuing the walk in the mall, we found the Nike store, in front of it we observe that the floor has two colors, gray and black, then a sports shoe store, the Lily Pink store, where you get beautiful accessories for girls; Makeup, perfumes, jewelry, among others, then a jewelry store and next to it the Banesco bank agency, in the next area are located a number of restaurants such as the Sonata, with wooden tables and chairs, decorated with ornamental plants in the surroundings, In the central aisle is a very curious triangular table, the bench is V-shaped and rests on an iron railing, the chairs are circular and red and white, to taste the desserts also has a small wooden shop decorated with palm trees, then are located other clothing stores such as; Jump, Skechers and a store of sweets made with honey, thus we arrive at the aluminum level, at the beginning of each square the corridor has a bifurcation towards both sides, in the lateral corridors several stores and restaurants are located, these corridors generally lead to the exit, in this bifurcation the panoramic windows are appreciated, part of the dome and the bulbs placed in the walls, in the ceiling several triangles of white color are observed, its characteristic white bar with the identification and the rings of red, blue, yellow, green and black color.
In this area there is a paint store, Reinco, with a large display and materials used for building and painting, we continue walking and we reach one of the domes located at the entrance of the square, in the center of this is a Christmas tree with the number 2025 in white, Another tree is also located under a dome, this one is totally enclosed with white railings, it has a red bow in the center and a sofa to take beautiful pictures, the tree is located between two nutcrackers, already towards the end we observe the corridor of the Daka store, which gives access to the upper floors, you can see several stairs and floor levels that are three, in them are located different stores and one well known for its delicious desserts Maxidona's, is one of the busiest, due to the quality of their products, then we have the stairs to the top floor with the logo of the store Nana's Tequeño, from there we move to the front door and concludes the tour, in front are several stores and on the left side the mechanical park.
The mall is large, touring it takes several hours, our visit allowed us to see some of the new stores, the interior design is beautiful and the view from the dome spectacular, although the walk was a little tiring, it was a nice adventure in the company of my son.
Blessings!
¡Bendiciones!

Greetings friend, it is a beautiful shopping center that stands out for its interior and exterior design, the columns are definitely a great work of modern architecture.
Happy Thursday!
What an incredibly massive shopping center indeed @belkyscabrera. Your previous architectural tour of its exterior features was already mind-blowing. And now its interior spaces are equally spectacular as well. Not sure if you've already told us, but I'm simply curious about the word "Orinokia" and its origins. I wonder where it came from? ☺️
Hi @storiesoferne, the Orinokia shopping center, is a great architectural work of the city, the interior design is amazing; the origin of the name is related to the Orinoco river which is the largest river in Venezuela and crosses much of Bolivar state, where the city of Puerto Ordaz is located.
Greetings!
Oh that's wonderful. Orinokia is certainly an awesome name, paying tribute to the natural treasures of Venezuela and the amazing mall that integrated its interesting origin into its remarkable architecture. Happy and blessed Sunday @belkyscabrera! ☺️
Thanks for Elevating Architecture and Design with Hive!
In fact the name Orinokia, also carries the second bridge of the Orinoco River, the names of the squares and sectors of the mall correspond to the natural resources of Bolivar state; minerals and hydric, Caroni is a river, Meru is part of the name of Angel Falls in the indigenous language (Churun Meru), the mall pays tribute to the resources of the region, the waterfalls on the outside are inspired by the tepuis. 😊🤗
Have a great week @storiesoferne!
