When these stadiums were built for the Copa America 2007 I was very surprised that this particular one was so big or had so much capacity considering that the city is small. One of the great attractions of this stadium for me is that it is built only for soccer, that is, it does not have an athletic track like most stadiums in Venezuela, that makes the fan to be closer to the players and therefore increases the passion.
By the way, I believe the first elimination game will be played there. Your post is propitious to know in detail how is the place that will receive the national team, the photos say it all, it's great. Thanks for sharing.
In that competition there was a double round of matches in the group stage. Brazil - Chile and Mexico - Ecuador. I was there with some friends and my wife (we were engaged at the time). The atmosphere was incredible, and it was enhanced by having so many fans from other countries, because they all arrived very early, so there were sectors full of fans from the four countries that would use the facilities and besides, the Venezuelans, because they were locals. I have very good pictures of that beautiful afternoon. Then there was another match in the elimination phase, but I did not get tickets for that one. Nice to greet you. Regards @musicandreview
