MANKIND'S INNATE CONNECTION WITH NATURE
If there is scientific evidence that Biophilia is crucial for our biological development, as claimed in the opening quote by Edward Osborne Wilson, a renowned biologist, naturalist, and writer, then there is no doubt that our exposure to nature is a foundational human need. Compared to our basic necessity for being fed with nourishing meals, a roof over our heads, and physical movement derived from exercise, we require essential connections with the natural environment. These links with nature can be achieved in a variety of ways such as strolling in the park, cultivating plants in gardens, playing with water in streams, marveling a flight of birds in the sky, smelling the fragrance of fresh flowers, or other direct encounters with living organisms and their natural habitat.
Our actual experiences of the natural world since time immemorial have imprinted clues on our mental conditions, physiological operations, and behavioral qualities. And we witnessed these factors in the history of experiences our ancestors encountered with their environment, their responses, as well as their significance in the evolutionary process. Armed with the valuable know-how of our attraction to nature, we can therefore design events and activities of health, well-being, and productivity in the various spaces we occupy. Workspaces can become more comfortable, stress-free, and efficient, abode more peaceful environments, and public habitats more welcoming, fostering a feeling of community, safety, and reasons for celebration with individuals across various backgrounds.
To fully comprehend the profound origins of Biophilia plus its influences in today's physical, cultural, and healthcare applications, we must travel back to that period in history when humans were simply primitive hunters and food gatherers. In fact, architecture and other built environments are merely novelties in the evolutionary universe - embracing an entire lifespan of approximately 6,000 years. Prior to that era, a dominant spectrum of our human existence depended entirely on the natural habitats for survival, basically from common elements in their surroundings namely water, animal and vegetable supplies, sunlight, materials for shelter, and fire. The sun offered warmth, brightness, and daily time. Various plants, flowers, and vegetables provided sources for food, supplies, and medicinal remedies. Streams, rivers, aquatic holes, and other flowing ecosystems structured the groundwork for living organisms - potable water for human consumption, bathing purposes, fish, and other animal provisions for food. Water channels also paved the way for traversing to distant destinations.
On the other hand, not every natural environment is beautiful and attractive to people's wellness. Areas consisting of dead plants and animals, stagnant systems, signaling decaying life, are not Biophilic and are intentionally avoided. Whereas, locations with winding trails, fertile soil, unpolluted air, and flowing water where plants, flowers, trees, vegetation, and other living creatures flourish are definitely sought after by individuals seeking serene, relaxing, and enjoyable places. These physical characteristics are evident in the effectively designed layouts of parks, gardens, and arboreta across the planet. Yet, even tiny occurrences of nature like a flower pot, bonsai culture, fish aquarium, green patch, or small garden have healing effects. Believe it or not, this is the true narrative of our authentic relationship with the natural world.
THE BENEFITS OF NATURE FOR HUMAN HEALTH, WELL-BEING, AND PRODUCTIVITY
Are you a nature lover? If so, how do you overcome stress, bad moods, and unhealthy lifestyles? Probably with the help of artificial medicine? Do you know that our natural surroundings have a direct link to rejuvenated health, empowered moods, and positive energies for authentic happiness? Countless research and experimentation have already proven this valuable fact, whether in controlled laboratory scenes or actual field studies.
To illustrate its effectiveness, the best empirical test was initially conducted in a hospital environment, as published in 1984 by Robert Ulrich, an award-winning scientist, consultant, and writer. In this experiment, two types of window sceneries were exposed to groups of patients for a long period. About half of the patients had a brick facade as their view while the rest had green trees, ponds, and blue skies. All the patients involved had the same healthcare treatment with identical age, gender, and physical states. Without diving into too much detail, it turned out that the patients with daily views of nature spent a shorter recovery time in the hospital and got healed the quickest. Most of these scientific investigations have pushed for the advantages of nature and its related ecosystems as presented in these valuable examples.
Natural Sunlight
It is known that individuals are in favor of open spaces with natural daylight for better mental, emotional, and physical processes as opposed to habitats with light sources from electricity. In fact, the bright rays of the sun boast medicinal qualities. promotes your circadian patterns, improves mood, injects alertness, and energizes your biological processes. You gain health benefits from sunlight and its vital phenomenon with short outdoor walks and through its designed integration in interior environments.
Exterior Green Landscapes
The numerous benefits of having plants, trees, gardens, or parks close to houses, buildings, and urban work establishments lured people into the outdoors. It was discovered that this particular behavior enhanced social relationships in neighborhoods where natural elements are present. If you reside in cities, towns, or in other areas with infrastructural development, incorporating green spaces into these locations would definitely improve your life experiences, wellness, and direct interactions with other people.
Foliage, Horticulture, and Gardening
There is increasing proof that exposure to gardens (active and passive) has contributed to the psychological, emotional, and social health of people. Better still, if you love the hobby of gardening and the art of cultivating plants, you are most likely to recover from stress, retreat to this place of relaxation where your mood is enhanced. The essence of horticulture therapy is extremely helpful if you suffer from dementia, and would desire to boost your physical movements, heart conditions, and social skills.
Influence of Nature in Child Growth
Without a doubt, the scientific community has strongly advocated for children to play, be immersed, and be active in natural environments. Encouraging your kids to be exposed to outdoor spaces with elements of nature would further advance their cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. Playing in exterior grounds whether located in residential neighborhoods, schools, or remote campsites, empowers children to be more stimulating, responsive, and creative when present in natural settings.
BIOPHILIC DESIGN: A NATURE-DRIVEN PRACTICE
Our fascination with Mother Nature since birth is not only composed of natural components but is strongly influenced by characteristics, elements, and qualities from natural compositions, networks, and systems that individuals consider specifically inviting and visually appealing.
The core objective of Biophilic Design is for you to create spaces that foster the valuable wealth of human life experiences - delight, play, relaxation, entertainment, romance, empathy, meditation, and curiosity - the tell-tale signs that the occupants are attached to the place. As one of the world's fastest emerging scientific disciplines, guidelines and standards have yet to be organized and implemented due to the increasing interest in the subject matter is closely linked to healthcare, social sciences, and sustainability. Because the natural environment is not constantly available to everyone, with the exemption of those residing near parks, or in the proximity of gardens, forests, lakes, and other green landscapes, there are imaginative methods to incorporate Biophilic Design elements in the urban setting. If you are aware of a select few of these fundamental principles of nature, it is possible to generate dynamic, holistic, and artistic spaces that positively contribute to the inhabitant's health, well-being, and productivity.
PATTERNS OF SAFE MOVEMENTS. You will witness constant motion in nature. Phenomena such as the sun, clouds, grass, leaves, trees, and water move in a “Heraclitean” flow, associated with the softness and smoothness of their individual rhythms. On the contrary, movements of danger exhibit abrupt changes or sudden disruptions in their usual normal patterns.
TRANSFORMATION, CYCLES, AND FLEXIBILITY. Like your life processes, all-natural ecosystems travel through cycles of birth, death, and regeneration. Similarly, typhoons and light phenomena have been observed to have sequential developments. When pushed to their limits, they adapt to the challenging conditions with resilience and renewal qualities.
DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES. You might have noticed repeating occurrences in the development of seashells, trees, flowers, and animals. As unique as they are, they still portray similarities in their geometries and evolutionary patterns. This fascinating phenomenon in nature is termed "rhyming" and is the reason for our sensory appreciation of visual pleasure.
ORGANIZED COMPLEXITY THROUGH EXPLORATION. You will discover that living organisms consist of complex networks but are not necessarily obvious during your initial encounter. But, as you explore deeper into the heart of their complicated structures, the more mysterious they become. This is also the true essence of learning and nature demonstrates this best.
MULTIPLE CHANNELS FOR SENSUAL EXPERIENCES. The natural world will amaze you in how it evokes all the senses within the human biological framework, encompassing sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. When designing physical spaces for habitation, the entire spectrum of human experiences must be considered to allow effective multi-sensory moments.
FREEDOM OF IMAGINATION. Do you know why kids feel at home in outdoor spaces, most especially natural environments? Because these places are transformable with multiple functions, having more options to play around with, like the elements found in unused spaces with loose, interchangeable parts, is crucial for a child's progress and development.
IMPRESSIONS OF BIOPHILIA
For your information, this fundamental review about the affinity of people for nature and other life forms, also known as Biophilia, together with its direct and indirect implications on human health and wellness, is only the tip of the iceberg. There is an increasing body of knowledge that touches on powerful evidence that humans do require daily exposure to natural elements. We are glad that there are a plethora of easy methods to secure the frequent dosage of the natural world as elaborated in this research.
It would therefore assist you to continue striving for creative solutions to strengthen the drive for better human experiences derived from more sustainable environments. To contribute to this cause, I am introducing my own signature brand called Biophilic Creative™ - via this maiden publication.
BIOPHILIC CREATIVE™: HITTING 2 BIRDS WITH ONE STONE
Biophilic Creative™ was a pragmatic movement I founded months ago due to a personal frustration I had with the repeated negligence done to our natural environment which had negative consequences on our human health, conditions, and experiences. Hence, "If Mother Nature suffers, people will most likely undergo pain as well," which kept bothering me during my preliminary reflections. There must be a simple, effective, and proven solution for this increasingly disturbing problem.
This is the mission's description according to their Facebook page:
"BIOPHILIC CREATIVE™ IS A PASSIONATE COMMUNITY OF IMAGINATIVE HUMANS WHO DESIGN AND BUILD A WORLD WHERE MOTHER NATURE THRIVES PLUS ENHANCES MANKIND’S HEALTH, WELL-BEING, AND PRODUCTIVITY."
As part of the Architecture+Design Community's strong advocacy for the environment, we firmly believe that Biophilic Creative™ would be a welcomed addition to one of its most crucial programs: transforming our planet into a much better place.
Now, this is where the huge dilemma is unleashed, " How can nature take care of humanity if she is sick, rotting, and not thriving? And vice-versa. "How can people love and protect their natural world if they are not alive, flourishing, and well? The answers to those 2 critical questions are simply obvious.
Therefore, this is what makes the global campaign of Biophilic Creative™ interesting, and most especially, encouraging. Similar to a two-edged sword, we are targeting two (2) complementary objectives at once. First, we aim to sustain our natural environment through preservation, conservation, and development efforts. And second, as a result of doing the former, we truly nurture mankind in effective ways such as the powerful benefits discussed in this article. Indeed, this is the perfect symbiotic bond between nature and humans!
#Hive, there has never been a better time to nurture humanity with nature than today. Let us do this! Are you with me?

Hello Andy. Always extremely grateful for your faithful support, kindness, and generosity. More of life's blessings to you and your family too. Take care, my friend! 😊
Yes I am a nature lover and I overcome stress by not thinking too much about the things that make me worry, needless to say, I have learned to turn away from things that have negative effects on me and I have also learned to tackle my problem head-on (when the problem is solved no more worries and no stress). I overcome a bad mood by simply doing something that enlightens my mood (sometimes I tend not to talk too much in order for me to control my temper because most of the time bad mood makes me temperamental). As of now, I think I got the upper hand against an unhealthy lifestyle by eating vegetables and drinking more water and keeping myself busy in my vegetable garden.
It is a good thing that I have my own garden (almost the size of a basketball court beside our house).
I can only imagine how you are able to divide your time with Hive, Biophilic Creative™, your personal life, and traveling.
Count me tin (^_^)
This is again a comprehensive blog that teaches me a lot about the things that I have no knowledge of at all.
Greetings to you @afterglow. I'm truly glad that you are sincerely passionate about Mother Nature and that you believe in her true value, abundant provisions, and healing powers. I'm simply grateful to you for revealing your top tips in nurturing your health with practical solutions and natural remedies.
I firmly believe that you've made the right decision with building a massive garden beside your retirement abode. Aside from the serene atmosphere and health benefits derived from your direct exposure to its organic elements, you've also created a reliable farm as a food source for vegetables, plants, and other edible crops. Perhaps, it would be an excellent idea to share your findings, observations, and results based on the wonderful connection you have with your natural surroundings, most especially your favorite garden, and how it has largely improved your health, well-being, productivity, and lifestyle. You can develop a special coverage about Environmental Design or Biophilic Design in our beloved community by demonstrating an interesting publication (case study) for our avid followers. What are your thoughts on this?
Time is not an issue and is surely not stressful if you love what you're doing, isn't it? And this pretty much is the essence of how I manage my priorities in life. There are no intentional separations in the various activities you've mentioned as each of them is part of a holistic approach encompassing my interests, pursuits, and endeavors. Everything just flows smoothly. As the saying goes, time flies when you're having fun.
Thanks a lot for your constant support and for believing in my proposals, initiatives, and projects. You have no idea how much your patronage means to me. I really appreciate it! Have a healthy, productive, and safe week! 😊
This is a great idea. I will surely share my ideas soon.
Indeed, and this is also the case for me, whenever I am doing something on my vegetable garden time flies.
You're always welcome (^_^)
Excellent! I look forward to your interesting Case Study about your loving relationship with your beautiful garden, and the rest of Mother Nature. Have fun! 😊
Hello, my friend Marcos @marcosmilano71. Thank you very much for your words of wisdom. As you have been evolving on our planet for a long period already, your profound message is a clear result of many years of accumulated observations, knowledge, and experiences of the dire conditions of our environment. We all know pretty well that people can't prolong their existence if they don't properly nurture Mother Nature, their one and only home.
Therefore, it's our sacred duty as a community of nations and as one biological family to contribute our share in sustaining our habitats for the world's long-term survival. With our Biophilic Creative™ movement, we promote more action-oriented programs, architecture and design tips, plus strong awareness in our relentless battle against the deterioration of our natural surroundings. And by doing so, we likewise extend, for countless generations, the crucial longevity of our human lives. I'm truly grateful for your valuable support - it means a lot. And rest assured, our collaborative efforts would see the light of day as soon as possible. More blessings and take care of your precious health always. 😊
Technology and the development of all human activities should definitely evolve towards the coexistence and exaltation of Mother Nature. For some years now, we have been observing more and more advances in this sense. Inevitably we are part of her and in many ways she drives us and teaches us. Great post my friend.
Greetings @charsdesign. Indeed, our organic environments, by default, are the main source of our survival and growth as humans. Where else can we obtain our sustenance, shelter, and nourishment for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs? Our biological framework is simply engrained in the life-giving forces of our natural ecosystems. Our inborn connection with Mother Nature is critically vital for our sustainability. Thus, by nurturing her, we also enhance our health, well-being, and productivity. Thank you so much, my friend! 😊
I find your whole approach extremely interesting, especially when at the beginning you say of the advantages (and I attest to its great truth) that things so simple but at the same time so necessary have for human beings, such as a walk in the forest, or through a garden or letting yourself be carried away by that gratifying sound of water, feeling it slide through your fingers ... I recognize and I believe I have always said it, that especially in the East you have a special sensitivity for these issues and in many cases (unfortunately, the overpopulation is a common evil) you have applied it in construction techniques. I will not say more in that sense, but I will throw a dart in favor of many cultures that preceded us and their intelligent way of building. And I will add that in the West, although the subject has always been quite discredited by scientists, it is known that most churches and hermitages did not rise in any place, but in very specific and telluric places, which enhanced the location. What I mean, basically, is that, unlike us, in those days men knew the environment and its characteristics and tried to benefit from them. An affectionate greeting,
Greetings @juancar347. Just like hitting 2 birds with one stone, as I've mentioned in this post, the Biophilic Creative™ approach is two-fold, giving this global cause an interesting perspective. The core logic behind this advocacy is that for our health, well-being, and productivity to thrive further and be enjoyed, we have no choice but to simply nurture Mother Nature. On the other hand, with a decaying natural environment, there's no way our human lives would prosper and be more sustainable.
However, there are some individuals who are not fascinated by nature, perhaps due to personal belief, peer influence, or non-interest. Although this phenomenon of our affinity with nature has already been scientifically proven to be embedded in our genetic makeup since birth, non-believers, haters, and pessimists still need to be convinced of the effective healing powers of the natural world. If recurring signs of rampant suffering, poor health, and sudden death are not enough to wake them up, I don't know what will.
Moreover, architects and designers from different disciplines have been using nature as a powerfully reliable tool from their arsenal of professional devices to effectively create suitable spaces to achieve the best human experiences. So, whether an individual has been influenced by Western or Eastern culture, it doesn't matter (in my opinion) for we only have one home planet (for now). Well, if Elon Musk and our scientists finally conquer planet Mars as an alternative abode for Earthlings, that's another story. Geographical borders don't matter when it comes to the protection, conservation, and development of our natural resources, which benefit and affect every person in one way or another. Thank you very much for your valuable ideas, and for contributing useful insights as always. Have a safe, productive, and enjoyable week my dear friend. 😊
It is actually need of the hour. I agree with your perspective as nature should always be respected and if it suffers then humans suffer as well. Considering how important it is we can always follow biophilia and incorporate it in our architecture designs. Thanks for bringing this subject into limelight.
Hope you have a productive week ahead.
Hello dear Sahiba @sahiba-rana. For Architects like us, Biophilic Design has never been as important as today with the suffering of our current generation because of the abuse of our natural surroundings, thus triggering an outcry from various sectors to do something to save our one and only planet. More so, how can humans thrive further if they keep destroying their habitats, right? With this in mind, we have a mission, crucial advocacy that would spell the difference between life and death for Mother Earth. Thank you so much for supporting this movement. Have a lovely week! 😊
Absolutely. This is crucial and this practice should be adopted by everyone. Have a beautiful week too😊😊
Grateful always for your faithful patronage and sincere appreciation dear Sahiba. Cheers! 😊

Hello @priyanarc and @diyhub, cheers and many thanks for your support and curation!
Greetings @storiesoferne Good to see your deviation towards nature, It is indeed necessary to understand how important is the connection f nature with humans. Biophilia surely plays major role in architectural design which is a connection bridge for humans and nature. I believe your thought process is really precise and on point.
Keep sharing such informational post, stay awesome.
Hi there @praditya. Oh yes, I've always been attracted to nature since my childhood days. Perhaps this is also the reason why traveling has been an exciting part of my life since the outdoors seem to constantly invite me to join them. And because the built environment has to coexist with the natural world, we have a crucial responsibility as Architects to make that happen. Biophilia is real and is definitely a thriving phenomenon - a natural force that binds us with the universe. And by implementing Biophilic Design as one of our primary methods to bring nature closer to humanity, we are indeed doing a huge favor for our planet. Thank you very much for supporting the Biophilic Creative™ advocacy in our relentless drive to make our world a much better place. Stay healthy, be safe, and have a profitable week! 😊
Actually the connection is really important as you said @storiesoferne . I support your Biophilic Creative™ endeavour. Will you be creating such informational publications under this label that you have trademarked? And also would like to ask I was looking to get LEED certified professional certificate, but in practice is it really worthy? because the exam is quite hard and people even from non architectural degree are allowed to give exam.
Thank you so much @praditya for keeping the love of nature and our environment alive. You've addressed 2 crucial points here:
Yes, definitely. This is the first post of a series of publications carrying the Biophilic Creative™ brand and mission. We'll be promoting awareness, sharing testimonials, and featuring architecture and design tips to incorporate nature into our built spaces for the core purpose of enhancing mankind's health, well-being, and productivity. As this has a two-fold effect, we believe that this important advocacy is created to solve these pressing problems. As default and before that even happens, it's already understood that we must nurture Mother Nature first to be able to enjoy those valuable benefits.
The LEED AP (Accredited Professional) is a nice addition to your name. Because it focuses on green building practices, it's also a vital tool in the architectural community in sustaining the natural environment. It's surely a difficult exam to pass because of the specialized scientific field. I actually made academic preparations for this specific accreditation some years ago but didn't pursue it due to a lack of time. But, I think it's a worthy pursuit and practical endeavor, that is if you possess the extra resources plus want to be a dedicated environmentalist. It's a subjective decision and it would entirely depend on the life goals of the person involved.
I hope my explanation has shed light on your questions.
Thank you so much for your insights on the subject. It indeed is a great endeavour considering how important is the connection with nature, I'll be looking forward for more of your posts under this label.
As far as LEED is concerned, Thank you for wise words. I shall consider getting certified in this aspect.
Take care and stay awesome.
With great pleasure @praditya - always glad to help out with vital concerns in our industry. Keep up your passionate endeavors as well. I wish you all the best as you journey through your chosen fields of interest. Take care, and have a fantastic one! 😊
Dear Erne, definitely a GREAT TOPIC AND GREAT POST! 100% agreed with your perspective of Biophilia concept design into architecture and construction works which is more environmental and nature concern, good for our earth which already sick.
Hello Cherry @cherryng. I'm delighted to see you here. Exactly, with your professional expertise as a Landscape Architect, you would definitely resonate with this publication. Biophilic Design is at the core of your practice as it deals with Mother Nature's sustainability and the valuable care she contributes to the planet's human inhabitants. With our Biophilic Creative™ advocacy, I hope we can further expand our technological toolbox in making our world a much better place. Have a lovely weekend! 😊
Thank you Erne @storiesoferne .
Yes. Biophilia is essential design criteria now. Singapore has Green Plan 2030 to transform "City in Garden" to "City in Nature".
I just joined the webinar from SILA regarding topic "Biophobia to Biophilia"
Sometime it's quite challenging for a modern urban city to implement nature concept into residential area as many design guidelines by authorities need to be amended. Most important thing is the management of nature and also to educate the residents to change the mindset to accept nature biology in their living place.
Have a nice weekend, enjoy your day and stay safe☺️
Oh, wonderful! That's fantastic news indeed, Cherry @cherryng. My sincere congratulations to your country of Singapore for being the global leader in strengthening humanity's connection with the natural world. Though it's quite challenging at first to implement these green principles in built spaces, sooner or later, people must learn to transform their Biophobia (fear of nature) to Biophilia (love of nature) for the greater good of our planet.
We would appreciate it if you would contribute your architecture and design tips (via your posts) for Biophilic Design and its beneficial applications to be adopted as part of our building culture. Thank you so much for sharing your valuable insights. Take care and have an awesome one! 😊
Thank you Erne.
Hopefully I will have more personal time for writing Hive and contribute more valuable content to #Architecture+Design. Currently my work schedule quite packed due to Christmas + New Year festival season, I have to rush out for drawing submission and site inspection works.
How is your workload there?
Hope you always doing well, stay safe and healthy, my friend.
No worries Cherry, only when you're available for our beloved community. Makes sure you also have time to relax and rest after too much work, okay? haha. 😊 My workload is manageable at the moment. But as long as we love what we do, time will not be an issue. Thank you so much for your constant support. Appreciate it, my friend! 😊
Good to hear that.
My pleasure to join #Architecture+Design community in HIVE, and meet you here.
Wishing you have great week ahead. Thank you my friend 😊
hello
Late, late I'm always late hehe
you are right, nature relaxes you and removes bad mood,
As you know we are surrounded by nature, a bit tamed since it is not a wild jungle, but green and mountains, waterfalls and rivers, with animals.
Everything has its importance and nature is damaged and many of us know it, others know it and do nothing.
I who smoke when going to the mountains I lowered my cigarette butts, the filter takes years to degrade.
When we ate oranges, we threw the peels on the ground, you said they are degradable, but in a documentary, which I like and I see many, I found out that too many peeling is also bad so everything in a bag and for home, in a small grain of sand , but little by little and if we all put our grain, things would progress for the better.
but many think if I only throw one thing and it is added with those who think the same and nature notices it
happy tuesday great friend
Hello, and how are you @txatxy? You are the sole keeper of your time, and there are no such things as delays if you exercise the freedom and possess the desire to choose when you would like to comment on publications here. So no worries, you are never too late, I promise...haha 😁
Furthermore, you are truly blessed to be surrounded by nature. And it doesn't matter whether you're close to a forest, beach, or lush landscape. Even our direct exposure to pocket gardens, flower vases, succulent pots, or wall vines inside our homes positively contributes to health, well-being, and productivity. And you're right, our small actions count in the preservation of our natural resources. So, we better be careful with our garbage disposals, though minuscule at times, which easily adds to the accumulated devastation and deterioration of our planet in the long term. Be careful where you throw your cigarette butts next time okay?...lol 🤣
Have an awesome Tuesday. Take care always and enjoy life dear friend! 😊
Hi Erne, definitely your knowledge of art, architecture and science are sprinkled with philosophy, just reading your post is enough to realize it. As always, the photos are excellent and it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy them. Receive a fraternal greeting
Greetings Benjamin @besamu. Your beautiful words of appreciation never cease to delight me. Perhaps my immersion in lots of literary material from our great philosophers around the world has influenced my writing style. But. even though I try my best to be as academic, educational, or scientific as possible with this post's approach, my natural inclination to poetry and philosophy always seems to overpower my content. Nevertheless, I do hope my publication has added to your learning library and has potentially impacted your appreciation of Mother Nature. Thank you so much for your remarkable insights. More power and take care always. 😊
Everything stated here is very on point. I just really hope that someday there will be a law that puts a high premium on biophilic/sustainable design to be implemented in every project and not just all about market-driven constructions popping up anywhere.
I believe that by taking care of nature, we are also taking care of ourselves.
Hi Carla @arkicarls. It's a pleasure to see you here again. Thank you for your strong belief in the rejuvenating powers of Mother Nature. Indeed, organic forces that are as beneficial as the healing effects of the natural world to human wellness must be embraced forever. As a practicing Architect yourself, you have the technical capacity, professional exposure, and strategic vision to fully understand the positive impact of nature in built spaces.
And because a lot of green movements have been sprouting out of nowhere, you're definitely right when you said that it's about time to get serious with implementing these Biophilic Design principles in the real world, not only for mere advertising purposes. We need international governing bodies to craft worldwide policies for the implementation of these valuable programs that enhance both our home planet and humanity - a win-win situation for people and the environment.
I'm excited to experience your next epic content about architecture and design. Stay safe, healthy, and have a productive work week! 😊
Biophilic philosophy always resonates with me. It is always good to have a design that links us with nature. Enjoy a slice of !PIZZA
Hello @juecoree. Your words of assurance always delight me. And I agree, any initiative that links human beings to their natural environment never fails, plus is a guarantee of prolonged sustainability, better health, and enjoyable experiences. Many thanks for the yummy pizza, the perfect snack while reading blogs. 😊
You are a master, @storiesoferne. You have exposed a reality that if not urgently brought to the table, many people are likely to fall ill due to lack of contact with nature.Possibly many cases of depression that become fatal due to suicides of executives in Tokyo and other big cities, where they do not get to see natural light or time to go out to a green space. In these big capitals it has become fashionable to have a cup of tea while petting a cat, an example of the need for contact with nature.
Fortunately, biophilic is becoming the order of the day and architects and designers alike plan with this as a top priority.
Thank you for your work and best regards
Warm greetings @cuvi. Oh wow! Thank you so much for your sincere compliment. As much as I try my best to be as competent, capable, and comprehensive as possible with these interesting topics, I'm far from perfection as I also value constant learning. And gaining knowledge from others in our great tribe most especially from awesome authors like you has been a significant part of my educational journey.
It's definitely a painful reality that the mere absence of natural elements from our cities and other urban vicinities is one of the major causes of health problems, emotional distress, and psychological disorders. This is therefore obvious proof that Mother Nature simply needs to coexist as a symbiotic partner with our various built environments. Only then can people truly experience authentic health, well-being, and productivity. Biophilia, and more importantly Biophilic Design has become standard environmental advocacy for the Architecture+Design Community. Grateful for your constant support, and all the best for you always! 😊
Friend @storiesoferne in good time I come to your publication that is really inspiring and a balm for my eyes. This happens to me when I read about the need and love towards nature, which is so mistreated and delegated by the mirage of a technologically modern world. Thank God there are special beings like you who put your grain of sand and raise your voice to expose the true need for the rescue of the natural world. I was able to take a look at your initiative Biophilic Creative only that the Venezuelan internet got too heavy for now to attend all the options on facebook where I live, but I congratulate you for your contribution in all the spaces you can attend. God bless you friend and count on me to spread the natural message to others, as I am also a lover of the natural and especially defender of green areas in modern architectural projects. Coincidentally my next publication, which I am still finishing preparing for the Architecture+Design Community, is somewhat related to what I read here today.
Let's continue to exalt and defend natural life.
Blessings my friend for you, your projects and family.
Friendly greetings @sorprendente. I'm truly delighted that this publication has been your source of inspiration, reinforcing our human duty to take care of our natural environment. For the obvious reasons of maintaining sustainable health, well-being, and productivity, people must be more considerate of Mother Nature to be able to experience and enjoy the mentioned benefits.
The Biophilic Creative™ brand is a special mission to assist in fulfilling the above objectives. With these modest beginnings, I do hope more individuals, most especially nature lovers would do their share in making our world a much better place. Thank you very much for your valuable patronage, friendship, and appreciation. More blessings and best wishes. 😊
