RE: “DONNA FUGATA’S CASTLE” ROMANTICISM IN ITALY

in Architecture+Design3 years ago (edited)

Greetings @titti. The castle of "Donna Fugata" is truly a magnificent piece of classical architecture, specifically to the Romantic and Gothic. Its surrounding complex of gardens, mazes, pathways, and other structures also add to its impressive presentation and interesting experience. Aside from the main castle, what other outdoor architectural detail within that estate was your favorite one and aroused your curiosity?

Its dome is very beautiful inside, all decorated with a spiral of stars on a blue background. It is a magical place, it seems that time has stopped.Thank you very much @storiesoferne, for appreciating this particular place in southern Italy. Your question is not easy to answer .. the most curious architectural element of that structure for me is the circular temple immersed in the green of the large garden, perhaps once a meeting point for lovers .... I will have been influenced by romanticism local...hahahaha

Oh yes. Since the castle plus the entire estate is romantically inclined not only in its architectural character, your choice of the circular temple as being the dating location for lovers, perfectly fits the overall theme. I'd likewise fall in love with the magical experiences you've encountered with the beautiful design details that abound there. Thank you so much for sharing another gem of architecture from Italy. 😊

It is a pleasure for me to share the art of my country with you. Bye
