RE: Wildfires and Poetry

I like your poem-it seems to speak to the times. Or to my times.

It's hot and dry here. Even for a hot and dry place it's hot and dry. The over night temps are brutal, we have not been under 27C for a month. So Sam and I aren't walking, just surviving.

I am headed north in a week or so. I'm going to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks for a couple of days. I'm really looking forward to it.

Always good to hear from you my friend. I look forward to your next book...

That's hot! It's hard to do anything when it's like that.

I hope your adventure is wonderful and cool. Please hug a tree for me along the way. And thank you for the compliment. I'll get back to that sequel soon. 💖

I've never been to see General Grant. The largest living thing on earth. I intend to remedy that oversight in the next week. Sequoias are impressive things.

They really are. I haven't been to the sequoias, but I've spent a fair amount of time in Redwood Nat'l Park in Northern Cali, and the sense of peace there is profound.

I really want to go to Redwoods State Park and check out the Canopy Walk. That has to be cool beyond words, but it's only open 2 months. I'll pass this year. Maybe next summer (I'm due back at the Oregon Coast, too :))

Oooh! I bet the canopy walk is amazing. And the Oregon Coast is lovely. So many wonderful places to visit. I hope you enjoy your upcoming trip!
