Really enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing!
Man i remember the first time i came across Dune. It was sometime in late 2000s, i found myself at one of the local Waterstones bookstore reading Dune. I never bought the book, i would just go to this beautiful bookstore to read this book; there were no chairs and i stood there anyway. I believe it took me 6 months to finish reading the first book...and yes i believe i finished the book standing...never once did i sat down.
Paul to has to be one of my favourite fictional characters. He is flawed. He was thrown into a great destiny which he chose to defy in the end. I loved his growth. I really felt his deep struggles in MESSIAH. And the way he was killed off in CHILDREN OF DUNE was really fucked....but it made sense to me. And it gave his character a well rounded, perfect end to such a prolific beginning.
It's ironic but it's the nature of things. Man thinking of Paul Muad'dib always sends a shiver down my heart.
Gonna have to pick Dune up again one of these days.
Thanks for bringing back these memories!
Then you read the novel as a Fremen or an Atreides would have, always standing in attention. Very commendable, I'd say!
Paul is a magnificently complete character. I was expecting his end, so I wasn't as shocked by it as I was by Alia's demise, that was mindblowing.
Thanks so much for this awesome comment! Glad you liked the post. These analyses will go very deep, I hope you can follow along!
You know one of the things i really enjoyed about the book were the quotations in every chapter's beginning. Those were magnificently atmospheric. I'm really gonna have to get me a copy of Dune soon.

I love them too! I'll use them in my analyses. Thank you so much!
