I have softened a bit and no longer scream like a 1950s cartoon housewife at the sight of a mouse
Nearly drowned on my coffee XD
I did about five hours straight of brick lifting and branch cutting and loading, and when my wife came home from work, the first thing she said was - there is a pile of stuff at the front still.
Ergh this does my head in. There have been several occasions over the years where I've very maturely gone on strike seeing as J was obviously completely failing to notice the amount of stuff that had been done and only hyperfocusing on the stuff that hadn't been done, and even more recently I have been occasionally forcing/delegating him (and the boys, because the girl does similar work and understands) to do stuff that they are very absolutely positive takes "a few minutes" to do. He's a lot better about it these days.
Men have to learn. Boys have to learn that when they are men, they have better chances of a good life, if they know how to take care of the housework.
