the amazing wonders of this porridge



The key ingredient here is Halim, botanical name Lepidium sativum also known as garden cress seeds. These seeds are rich in iron, folate, vitamins C, E, and A, fiber, and protein rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids​ . They help neutralize free radicals, which contribute to premature aging, and improve the body’s immunity, protect against various infections and diseases. Additionally, their antimicrobial properties can help prevent infections such as fevers, colds, and sore throats.

Hello, friends food lovers, and community greetings today I am sharing a recipe that contains only ingredients that are beneficial for overall health and very good for the coming winter season.


The ingredients:
6 fresh dates
4 dried dates
1/3 cup of almonds
1/3 cup of makhana /lotus seeds
10 cashews
1/3 cup grated dried coconut
1/3 cup of oatmeal
1 tbsp Halim

3 cardamoms
few strands of saffron
2 pinches of nutmeg
1/6 ts cinnamon powder.

Soak Halim in 2-3 tbsp water.

Soak oatmeal in enough water to make milk.

Here is oatmeal and Halim

Dry roast makhanas. Lotus seeds called fox nuts in English, is a source of high magnesium which improves blood flow and oxygen levels and reduces the risk of heart disease.


After removing the seeds from the dry dates put them together in the mixer jar along
with almonds, and cashews,(save 3 cashews ) and makhanas.


grind to a coarse powder. and keep aside.

Make a fine paste of the soaked oatmeal.

Add saffron and keep the oatmilk aside.

chop the fresh dates into small pieces after removing their pits.

Chop raisins and the saved cashews.

Boil 1 cup of water in a pan, mix the soaked halim in the water, and let it cook stirring continuously.

Add 1/3 cup of the nuts and makhana powder.

Cook for around 2-3 minutes. stirring continuously on low heat.


Add coconut.

Pour the oatmeal milk in. and cook for around 2 more minutes.


Add raisins, dates, cashews and crushed cardamoms.


then cinnamon and nutmeg.


Cook for another minute and remove from heat
top wi5th fruits as desired


If you like it more sweet drizzle some agave or maple syrup.

These ingredients used in the porridge help a lot in winter to get rid of stiff muscles, and body pain, strengthen digestion, and keep the body warm. great for blood circulation. and keeping skin moist. The Wonder porridge can help overall health especially in the winter season.

There were so many ingredients that I had never seen before, especially halim, which at first glance has a similar texture to sago but looks different. I'm very curious about the taste.

This is not sago sago made by topioca stem And Halim is seeds from special plant like mustard and they looks like mustard. but not spicy.
