Saludos a todos, la semana pasada recibí la invitación de @nellyhope para compartir en la actividad “your veggie shopping”, pero estaba fuera del día de mis compras las cuales realizo los días lunes, sin embargo, esta semana ha sido un poco atareada en mi casa porque hemos estado haciendo unas reparaciones, tanto así que el día hoy lunes también se me complicó un poco, pero aquí estoy feliz de mostrar mis compras de verduras. Antes de comenzar invito a participar a @cochanet @drhueso

Normalmente mis compras las realizo en el mercado municipal de mi ciudad Carora,estado Lara, Venezuela, el cual labora los días lunes, en el lugar los vendedores reciben directamente de los proveedores del campo en la madrugada, pero hoy por motivos de fuerza mayor no pude acudir al mercado a cielo abierto, porque este solo está disponible desde la mañana hasta el mediodía aproximadamente, sin embargo, necesitaba mis verduras así que decidí ir en la tarde a comprar en los establecimientos que nosotros llamamos feria de las verduras, como siempre tomé mi bolsas con ruedas y me fui con mi fiel acompañante Rafael mi nieto, solo por esta vez mi hija @irenenavarroart fue con nosotros porque le pedí que me tomara las fotos.
Normally I make my purchases in the municipal market of my city Carora, Lara state, Venezuela, which works on Mondays, in the place the vendors receive directly from the suppliers of the field at dawn, but today for reasons of force majeure no I was able to go to the open-air market, because it is only available from morning to noon approximately, however, I needed my vegetables, so I decided to go in the afternoon to buy in the establishments that we call the vegetable fair, as I always took my bags with wheels and I went with my faithful companion Rafael my grandson, just for this time my daughter @irenenavarroart went with us because I asked her to take my photos.
El primer establecimiento que fuimos se llama Agroruiz, allí como es usual en este tipo de establecimiento uno toma una cesta y va echando en esta todas la verduras, frutas y hortalizas que necesite y luego en la caja pesan todo y uno paga con la tarjeta o en efectivo, mi nieto esta siempre pendiente de ayudar a escoger los tomates y otros vegetales, pero me decepcionó un poco que ya en la tarde había pocas cosas que escoger en este establecimiento, creo que como toda la ciudad compra los lunes porque es cuando llegan los productos del campo , en horas de la tarde es difícil, allí sólo pude comprar tomates, zahorias, cilantro, celery, cebollín, tomé una pelota de lechuga del refrigerador que allí tienen, también tomé unas batatas porque tenía antojos de comer tostones de batata, quería un aguacate pero estaban muy verdes aún.
The first establishment we went to is called Agroruiz, there, as is usual in this type of establishment, one takes a basket and throws all the vegetables, fruits and vegetables that one needs into it and then they weigh everything in the box and one pays with the card or in cash, my grandson is always willing to help choose the tomatoes and other vegetables, but I was a little disappointed that in the afternoon there were few things to choose from in this establishment, I think that, like the whole city, they buy on Mondays because that is when they arrive the products of the field, in the afternoon it is difficult, there I could only buy tomatoes, carrots, cilantro, celery, chives, I took a ball of lettuce from the refrigerator that they have there, I also had some sweet potatoes because I had a craving for sweet potato fries I wanted an avocado but they were still very green.
Luego de pagar en la caja aproximadamente 21 Bolívares que es más o menos 3 dólares, nos dirigimos a otro establecimiento.
After paying approximately 21 Bolívares at the register, which is more or less 3 dollars, we headed to another market.
Afortunadamente en la siguiente feria de las verduras, había más disponibilidad de productos y se veían incluso más frescos, allí si conseguí papas, también compré piña que ya viene pelada y rebanada en un bolsita de plástico , mi nieto estaba feliz porque también me ayudó con la cesta que allí nos prestan para ir echando las verduras, compré además cebollas, ajíes dulces, remolachas, guayabas, plátanos y cambures, también aunque ya tenía pimentón en la casa no me pude resistir a traer un gran pimentón rojo porque estaban muy bonitos y apetitosos, en este lugar pagué 61 Bolívares que son unos aproximados 8 dólares.
Fortunately, at the next vegetable fair, there was more availability of products and they looked even fresher, there I did get potatoes, I also bought pineapple that is already peeled and sliced in a plastic bag, my grandson was happy because he also helped me with the basket that they lend us there to put the vegetables, I also bought onions, sweet peppers, beets, guavas, bananas and bananas, also although I already had paprika in the house I couldn't resist bringing a large red paprika because they were very nice and appetizing, in this place I paid 61 Bolívares, which is approximately 8 dollars.
Mi nieto quería que comprara otras frutas como fresas y manzanas que siempre le compro los días lunes, pero las que tenían allí estaban pequeñas por el precio , así que le dije que mejor esperara que cuando vuelva al mercado abierto le compraré como de costumbre. Estas compras fueron poco pero en mi casa ya me quedaban verduras así que lo que hice fue recargar la despensa. En mi mesa pueden ver las compras del día, siempre es bueno apreciar la frescura de los vegetales y sus olores, por eso me alegra ir de compras de verduras los lunes.
My grandson wanted me to buy other fruits like strawberries and apples that I always buy from him on Mondays, but the ones they had there were small for the price, so I told him that he better wait and when he returns to the open market I will buy from him as usual. These purchases were few but in my house I already had vegetables so what I did was reload the pantry. At my table you can see the purchases of the day, it is always good to appreciate the freshness of vegetables and their smells, so I am happy to go vegetable shopping on Mondays.
