It's not to let science is it? Society (humans) have shifted their mindset so far from centre and I think it's causing complications that don't need to be there, and a lot of unhappiness - that people delude themselves (usually by buying things they don't need) isn't there...but it is.
These points make sense to me, people like you and me, but many others don't get it.
It's true that a large part of society has fallen off of the common sense wagon and I am sure there are a lot of factors. As far as the online influence and life comparing crap, I believe it is more generational, since some folks never knew a time in their life when all that wasn't going on. To them it is the norm and they didn't get the advantage of growing up and getting a little better mental grasp on the bigger picture in life before being exposed to all of that 24/7. Add to that, many parents wanting to be their children's best friend in stead of their parents while they are young and.... well... there is so much that can go wrong. It's ok when your child is grown and out to have a different type of relationship with them, but until then, someone is supposed to be in charge! Anyway, you know how that all is, you could go on and on and never cover it all..... and still nobody would listen.
Yep, I agree with all of this and in one short comment there's so much to unpack.
I wonder if there will be a change, if people will seek better ways and that will cause a U-turn as such. Who knows.
I had lost hope that common sense being the majority would ever come back, but I think for now, I see a small glimmer of hope. Only time will show if that glimmer will grow or turn out to be only a quick blip on the radar.
Here's to hope nothing being blippy.
There's good people out there, men too, so keep holding to that hope and being your true self.
