RE: Truth

in Shit Photography3 months ago

I love your post and sent it to my 21 year old. Indeed there are so many truths here. I see it playing out around me daily. I do not like it and hope that people will wake up. Often times it is a process though or it never happens.

I hate the impact influencers have on society. I sometimes cannot believe that people are so gullible and it is not only young people. I listened to my children speak or argue sometimes about social media comments - sometimes it is good/relevant and sometimes not. Often I interject and remind them that those people and our opinions of them or their opinions have no bearing on our lives. Some discussion is healthy but there must be a balance. They understand and realise that it is energy wasted.

You are so right about the fear of missing out. Being validated by others especially strangers is so unimportant and irrelevant. I wish there could be a serious consciousness wave that takes over. That people begin to focus on themselves more and go “inside”. People would become less anxious, more grateful and a lot kinder.

There's a lot wrong with society today and I don't see it changing any time soon which is a bit depressing.

I guess it's going to take people like your 21 year old to make a stand, see the wrongs and work towards making them right. Will it happen fast enough? Well, I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

I agree - it will not happen fast enough but like you said hopefully the generation of my daughter can make a different. However, considering what they are exposed to - a miracle is needed.
