There has been a bit of confusion in regards to the term web3. We hear it thrown around a lot, but what does it actually mean? The truth is, it means different things to different people. Today I dive deep into what it means to me.

Nice one @theycallmedan - you're talking sense man. So many of us have built up knowledge and wealth here and I truly believe that we are the thin end of the wedge and sooner or later the rest or a good majority will follow. For me that means posting decent content daily to increase my stake and engagement and I am loving every bit of it and learning more about blockchain, investments, cooking, sport and so much more as we go. The diversity of people, interests and opinions is a great asset and I can confirm that if you work hard here, the rewards eventually come and typically as you rightly say, when you are not hunting them, instead do your thing and they will find you.

Web3 is going to be an absolute game changer, and even if Hive and 3S don't live up to their huge potential (though I think they will), the education that we have all gained along the journey will stand to each and every one of us, as there is no doubt, but this is the future. Interestingly more and more young people are joining every day from across the continents and their youth and general tech savviness will make it a much easier transition than for some others in society.

Steem is going exactly where its overlords have "tracked it to go". Justin Sun didn't have a clue what the fuck he bought from that sneaky Ned and he got himself in a trap.

Luckily, although the process with the fork hasn't been a smooth one, we came out alive and well and with a better chain that's actually decentralized and hosting several apps that are definition of WEB3 actually is.

WEB3 to me means owning my account and the shit that goes out through it. Immutability...

Since you mentioned greed, I have to say that Ned proved to be quite a greedy one, but also... since you mentioned the universe and how is working when chasing things, if Ned wouldn't have been greedy we would probably not be in this place we call Hive.

We would probably still be active on Steem, with that premined stake hanging like a rock over our heads.

Curious who actually takes the challenge to actually mine Bitcoin. Isn't it already clear for anyone now that Bitcoin mining is for the rich and that Bitcoin has become "the coin of the rich". I know it sounds odd, but that's how I see it.

Amazing energy.

Pump my state up to the moon, please and thank you.

Philosopher Kings in the making.

Waiting for the next episode you going to share tomorrow via 3speak vlog. We all wants to acknowledge more about web3. Count me as beginner but I'm curious.
You are right token ownership really does matter. It always awesome to hear from you.

Is an replication of the internet where new social networks, search machines and commerce crop up that have no company overlords.

Rather, they're decentralized, erected upon a system known as the blockchain, which formerly undergirds Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Imagine it as a kind of secretary where numerous computers at formerly host data that is searchable by anyone.

It's operated by druggies inclusively, rather than a pot. People are given" commemoratives"for sharing. The commemoratives can be used to bounce on opinions, and indeed accrue real value.

GM!

Dr. Robert Malone. got banned from Twitter ( one of the inventors of mRna vaccines)

Something we should shill hive.

Btw very good video :)

I was curious about you.

when I read your name "They Call Medan" I thought you were from Indonesia. because in Indonesia there is a city "Medan". and now I just realized that the truth is "They Call Me Dan". ha ha ha

Hive is not only blockchain, but also an ideology - i believe in it. I just still need to defile my role here 🙂

One might say, you did a #deepdives into it? :)

Good rant, well passionate. Really good insight into blockchain, decentralisation and web3. I share a lot of your opinions about the future of the internet. I also liked you covering that people should appreciate everything and take nothing for granted! Too few understand this fully. Thanks for sharing this!

I can feel the passion. No rinky dink plastic dinghy here. Folks, we got ourselves a f-ing Gokstad. All aboard!

Reading about Web3 for a while now and clearly, there will be some disadvantages but I love the idea of data privacy so I am going with it for the most part.

Sematic web technology from web2 to web3. Great discussion

you got me hype right now haha. Glad to finally be on a blockchain that has a proper community and feels like its a good example of what Web3 is supposed to be. Only been here 2 weeks but I'm learning Web3 more in these 2 weeks than the last year and I plan to stay for the long haul!

It's kind of privacy of my data.

It’s going to be huge.

This is quite interesting, I'll keep watching

Irrespective of the angle we view web3 from, it's still way profitable and better than web2.

It's really awesome and a good improvement in the blockchain

Growing from web2 to web3 is a great success in data privancy. Love to knw more details abt it

every one want data privacy and i am lucky that i have journey to web3 and data privacy is my first that only give us to web3

If this ( still didn't watch your video but I will add if I have something when I do) is in reply to a recent abscess of opinions "over there" aka that one who has an avatar that looks like an overgrown metallic dick with flaps ..., web3 being a sponsored enrichment program , somebody forgot that web-any-version back in day thank their existence to the same.
Unlike web2, blockchains are not a finite product, either governed or fully decentralized. Also, every garbage has a buyer and for me in this present moment this pile of garbage smells the most inviting. Who doesn't like it can go on Twitter and lick moist of Musk's boner and pretend it is a morning dew, and see if that brings them any use...

No, I'm not like this today, I am like this every day.

Ok, now I will watch your video, thank you for creating it in advance, I am sure it is great.

Edit:
About Steem. I'm blocked by Justin Sun, that says all. I see what's happening on Steem, they are on the treadmill but it won't go. There are so many projects, so many blockchains, these projects need a ginormous support in community, time, resources. It is not the only thing out there, it requires the constant inflow or energy, they don't have that.
About websites. Yes it is a pain in an ass to run one, to present to people what means a normal website like for example WordPress compared to blockchain. Most of people think it is a scam and they will get scammed for money. They don't care about privacy, data and fact they can get deleted from a network for basically nothing.
About KYC. KYC for crypto is not something I will support, I am pretty much an altcoin maximalist and more into privacy coins. With KYC the crypto becomes just an alt for FIAT and additionally empowers systems of control. I don't polish my voices online with Tor and VPN and stuff like that, KYC is not even an issue, but I personally just see it in this negative controlling light and I don't really like it.

This video helped better solidify how I should look at WEB 3 and gave me a better view on the STEEM migration to HIVE. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Web 3.0 is:

This is the hive blockchain. We see how important this is to the cryptocurrency sphere. Hive is a unicorn in this regard.

Hive is changing social media. The next step is to go after Wall Street. We can be the epicenter of DeFi.
