Thanks for having me on this podcast guys! man was it a long one haha! but we also covered alot of topics!

Without a doubt peakd and hive is a great social network, although they should facilitate a little the structure where the posts are created, since many users (counting me) have no and/or little knowledge in html, and sometimes it gets tedious to customize the structure of the post with the html codes.

I'm going to hijack this post to ask you to intervene to help this person:

https://hive.blog/hive-150329/@lucylin/due-to-the-incessant-bullying-by-the-hive-sycophant-accounts-ill-now-have-to-kill-myself

If you look at their account they seem to be subject to a targetted harassment campaign by azircon. As in they get lots of small upvotes, and then a big fat downvote cancelling it all. As far as l can tell the downvote is not for plagiarism or abuse but purely because a whale doesn't like their content. But surely in a free speech zone you should be able to post what you like, and if readers don't like it, just mute and move on instead of downvoting to hurt their earnings.

Anyway, can someone senior on this site please intervene. The victim is getting very distressed.

lol - Don't worry about me - your interpreting my 'distress' incorrectly, I can assure you.
No problems except for what you've mentioned, obviously re the downvoting.

I'm touched by your concern, but I can assure - it's misplaced. Life is dandy!

You shouldn't joke about killing yourself.

I joke about everything.
And anything.

I've just written you a lengthier reply to your suggestions.

There are more decent people knocking around, than wankers.(even though they appear to have the majority of stake on this platform!lol)
Thanks again.

Some ppl should start asking for tips to be sent either directly in hive or on the v4v podcasting system set up by brianoflondon using the lightening network. No one can remove these types of tips

The new web 3.0 trend is reaching more people and I think the community is getting stronger and stronger. Still a lot of my friends are still very skeptical about it but it is only a matter of time before we can have web 3.0 at its full potential.

proxy hive information to another front end, should work or some medium kind of site. Sure it sucks, but as long people read it, who cares :).

But I don't see it that bad. They censor, they shadowban. And I think that's the proof.

I had a long time the idea to "promoting hive is needed". But it isn't. If the tools are in place and the user experience is high, we don't need to do anything because then we can have a network effect.

For now, it's cool we have our hardcore users here :)

Web2 is in self destroy mode. Web3 in buidl.

Splinterlands is IMO a good example :)

Lead by example

simple proxy content to another site, that refers to hive.

Like an Hive onboard version with all information that refers to games, social and other dapps.

So if they blacklist hive.blog or peaked, there a a portal before.

This could be an medium site or some self host domain. Selfhost has the advantage to use multiple domains all refer to the same page. Makes it really hard to blacklist.

So they can only blacklist the hashtags and users :) this can be change to web3 and make the hive branding around them also with proxy content.

Web3 on social media and on search engines web3 = hive.

Only one way to do it.

I feel very lucky at the moment that we are moving towards decentralized. And Hive, 3speak and hivepeak will one day be the best decentralized social media in the world, I pay tribute to all your efforts,

I've literally watch everything in a single breath.

For sure... 😂 I like how Starkez says it haha.

#Hive is the perfect place to start reshaping the narrative regarding the centralization in general.

Glad to spot this project on time 🤘🤘

For sure man. For sure ;)

Wow this is beautiful

nice friend

Being able to make posts that are not on chain but can still receive rewards would be really nice. There are some stories I’d like to tell but don’t feel comfortable sharing them where bots that scour the internet could find them from now until the end of time. I have some friends who don’t feel comfortable not being able to delete their posts, so more options for what goes on/off chain would be fantastic.

I’m blown away by all the features that people come up with.

Who is the other guy hosting besides @theycallmedan ? I wanna follow him too

@starkerz is the co-host.

You can delete your content on hive.. you just cant delete the actual post haha.

really? If I delete the text it's gone forever????

The text is gone forever.. the blog is left as an empty shell.. whatever rewards it got, still remain as a reminder something was there.. this is what you should so if you end up double posting.

I was thinking that once things get really tight.. I good idea would be to sell your old blog posts as real-estate just like houses.. you move out, someone else moves in.

Just finished listening (gathering my thoughts).

First I will like to see the guest feature implemented. It would be a nice way to get engagement outside hive.

I have also been clamouring for a way to categorize videos on 3speak. It is a nice feature for those who create different kinds of videos.

Making the network more open will have a positive impact on contend creators in terms of reaching and connecting to a larger audience outside hive

This episode of the Community Token Talk Podcast, hosted by TheyCallMeDan and Starkerz, featured a special guest appearance by UnorgMilitia from the Hive blockchain community.

The hosts began by discussing the recent kickoff meeting for the Speak Networks project. Dan noted that the meeting went very smoothly, with the project leads expressing confidence in their work. He explained that this was the culmination of years of effort, with the last six months seeing the project really take shape. The hosts emphasized the importance of having the right people gravitate towards the project, attracted by its decentralized and community-focused approach.

The conversation then turned to the upcoming Hyfest virtual event scheduled for November 12-13. The hosts expressed excitement about the event and their plans to potentially present on behalf of 3Speak and the SPK Network. They discussed the unique experience of the VR-based event, including the visual differences between those using VR headsets versus those participating in 2D.

Next, the hosts highlighted a blog post by Hive community member Mr. Howe, in which he outlined various improvements and new features planned for the Hive communities system. These include functionality like recurrent transfer support for memberships, new community types, and the ability to classify post types. The hosts emphasized the significance of these developments in building a robust and flexible community infrastructure on Hive.

The discussion then shifted to the topic of coin voting governance, with the hosts referencing a recent interview with Vitalik Buterin. They analyzed Buterin's perspective on the potential pitfalls of coin voting systems, particularly in the context of pre-mined and centralized projects. The hosts contrasted this with Hive's approach, highlighting the importance of fair token distribution and the need for anti-fragile governance systems.

UnorgMilitia then shared his thoughts on the Hive ecosystem, expressing his appreciation for the open-source and decentralized nature of the platform. He discussed his previous involvement in efforts to restore constitutional government in the physical world, and how his focus has shifted towards exploring the potential of blockchain technology and Web3 as an alternative system.

The hosts then touched on UnorgMilitia's SkateHive community, which aims to bring together various action sports and extreme sports enthusiasts under a single, tokenized platform. They discussed the potential for cross-pollination and value creation within such niche communities on Hive.

Towards the end of the episode, the hosts outlined a new task for the community, inviting listeners to create short video clips from the podcast content and share them on platforms like YouTube and the SPK Network Chat account. They emphasized the importance of making the information more accessible and engaging for a wider audience.

Overall, this episode of the Community Token Talk Podcast provided an in-depth look at the ongoing developments in the Hive ecosystem, the challenges and opportunities of decentralized governance, and the potential for community-driven initiatives to thrive in the Web3 space.
