10k walking circuit local hike, walking is what grounds me

This autumn has been the coldest I've experienced here in catalonia my 5th one.
I read somewhere we are at solar minimum, I also get recommended alot of articles saying there are solar storms, ive heard about meteors apparently coming in close contact with earth.
It feels all so surreal, sometimes I wonder if we are just living in the Trueman show or if this is some kind of computer games.
Theres constantly tasks to complete before you can get to the next level and there are always some failures to take you back a step

Its started to feel more more like this with all this hype about living in the metaverse,so much time now spent in the digital world. I often wonder how existing more in the metaverse world can be healthy for our bodies.
Whilst the cool and damp air seeps in to this little apartment and creeps into all my joints, as I stare into my back lit phone hunched in a corner trying to stay warm, each year the cold pains feel more worse and each year my realisation is a have to spend less and less time in the virtual world. And the more I know I have to move my body, and to be more in my body.

So much energy is spent in the mental virtual space but not enough time truly in my body, and using my physicality

This is why I actually enjoyed working jobs that constantly kept me moving around on my feet. I also loved to dance, especially in a space with others dancing.

For some reason a virtual rave isn't quite the same, but I still dance just for myself.
I will turn on a banger and jump out of the chair, shaking my body to release all the tension from this new modern life im evolving into.

But going for a walk in nature is totally the most grounding energy for me, it calms my mind and realigns my body, the longer I walk for and the further away from other people the better and more grounded I feel.

The distractions fade away and im more aware and focused on my surroundings, I notice the subtle sounds, the wind in the trees leaves, the bird calls, the smell of autumn blossoms and pine. I can feel my body reacting to elements, the way my body was designed to be since it coevolved with the natural world.
It becomes a relief to let go of all the noise and information of our modern life and take it back to basics.

For me as a Taurus sun sign, grounding is a about brutal realism, cut the crap and get straight to the point,
stripping back to the most basic essentials needed daily.
These things are the fundamentals for keeping us grounded.

Food
Hydration
Rest
Self care
Exercise
Safe space

All these things create a sense of stability and groundness

I often find when one of these slip, like I forget to eat or I don't take a shower, I don't get a good rest, I stay all day inside, or when I feel unsafe in my surroundings. If any of these things come up, I notice I feel less grounded.
So for me personally theres a clear connection with my body and how I take care of it and feeling earthed.

After walking 10km I definately felt more myself, I slept better, my mind felt clearer, my body felt like it has been doing what it was designed to do.

To walk the earth and be present in its beauty because everything that is needed is right there.

I've read there are lookalikes to this one too...
I think ill just leave them for the wild boar to eat for now

Hiking is an amazing way to feel grounded. What a beautiful place to do it in. I've had a few issues with my back and hips and stupidly walked for ten k's on an undulating beach yesterday, so couldn't walk today. Must sort that out - someone said there wasn't an issue in teh world you couldn't walk out.

So sorry to hear that! The terrain we walk on or the shoes we wear can have an affect on the joints in our body, also especially if we are not used to it.
