Some photos shot with the 40+ year old Vintage Super Carenar :: Daily and Fresh 📷 (348/366)

Hi!

I went out today to shoot with my vintage Super Carenar MC f=135mm 1:2.8 lens...

Uhm... Nope, I ended up using all that time, and when I was supposed to go out shooting, I had to go pick up Miro from school, visit a pet supply store to buy two bags of puppy dog food for the dogs, worming medicine for Ninnu, and a parcel from the post office.

When I was done, it was already dark.

So the above photo was shot in our parking lot after I had taken Miro to school. It's a tree in case you were wondering. 😅

I had to visit home because I hadn't eaten breakfast... No, I came back home and had tea.

I also tested the lens with the flash. It has an interesting kind of a bokeh. I need to test it out tomorrow.

I know this is a lens I already know, but I was wondering what kind of bokeh it is going to produce, as it is one of those two decades old lenses. I never quite thought about it.

The Christmas cactus dropped the big flowers and started growing new ones.

The crassula is looking good. There seem to be four or five leaves that will soon fall. This is an old plant. I got its mother tree from my mother when was a teenager. We brought the mother tree and many of its saplings with us when we moved together with Vera.

I took this photo when I was leaving to pick up Miro from school. I'm kind of sad that I slacked so much, I could've gotten many more photos if I had gone out straight in the morning.

Here's and update photo for the puppies. They're growing very fast. The boys have started sleeping on their backs every now and then. I wonder if it's a boy dog thing. (This photo was taken with the Samsung A6 tablet.)

I had forgotten my camera in the car, so when I went to fetch it, it was pretty much frozen stiff. And I mean really, the old lens has generally very fluid and smooth focus ring especially in warm weather, but now it was -14°C, and the oil or grease that's used in it had stiffened up to the point it was actually very difficult to rotate the focus ring.

I still managed to shoot a pretty decent photo. (Rrriiight... decent you say. More like one of those "don't think, just click" photos. Really.)

Well it was a test anyway.

Portrait of the photographer. I really don't like taking photos of myself, so I did. Must get off the comfort zone I guess. 😅

It's getting late so I'll leave now. Have fun, and...

See ya!

This is a very nice old lens which could still perform very well. It’s time to test it out more!
