Back to the summer.

The weather for the past few days has been a pure delight. Its dark, extremely winy and pissing rain. Almost constant pissing rain! And as much I do like rain, more than 3 days of constant pouring can be a bit much even for me.
I could switch that for the snow other parts of Europe are getting. Snow is good! :)

So now after the mandatory complain about weather (because obviously it is never good enough :p) time for some summer photos. It's all about balance :)

First we have some lovely little scallion flowers that my mum grows in the garden. Not necessarily for the flowers, but for the herb itself. They just go an bloom anyway. They remind me of the wild growing Thrift flowers.

In background for them are filled with tiny little violas that grow uninvited where they please. Nobody sows them. They pop every spring in different spots and since they are pretty, we let them stay. Then they produce more seeds and spread to new spots.

One of the Irises with a lovely bokeh background.
I borrowed Helios lens from my brother and I was hoping get some nice bubbles around. The trick is to the get the distance an light right.

And some random garden stuffs :p

What a charm!
I am especially pleased to look at these photos at the moment, as in Cyprus yesterday it was pouring with heavy rain with large hail!
But my flowers on the balcony were not affected.

We didn't have hail.. but there were really bad floods in some cities.

We're still having rain but no hail now.

Your photographs are very nice and succesful..

Thank you :)

Looks like Polish summer! Did you make it back there since the last time (before covid)

It was :)
Yea I was there this fall, which was pretty awesome. I missed the Polish fall as I usually was visiting in spring-summer.

Do I detect a wee bit of sarcasm here? Rain, rain go away and snow can stay there too 😀

It'll be awhile before spring yet but we always have photos of previous seasons to keep up our moods. The bokeh effect is really pronounced here with a good amount of detail in it too. I usually only see the blur but not so with those lovely Iris shots. I feel the movement.

Do I detect a wee bit of sarcasm here?

Me sarcasm? I would never...

I tend to switch them around and snow snow (if I have any) in summer and sunny photos in winter.
Oh yes.. it can do the bubbles and the swirls.. almost makes you dizzy with all that.

Beautiful pictures, I love that bokeh you get in the backgrounds and the color excellent 👌

Thanks! This lens is a master of the bokeh effect. That's why I like it :)

Your photography is awesome and pretty pictures! Your mom’s flowers in the garden are beautiful flowers. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you! Her garden is really full of cool plants.
Thanks, you too :)

That lens has the most appropriate name possible! Great colours!

Indeed! It is so freaking amazing :D
Thank you :)

I know… the rain has been horrible the last days, here too. Rain is good… but not this much hehehe 🤭 the garden looks like a pool right now.
I rather have some nice snow too.
Hope it won’t rain end of the week 🤞🏻🍀Great captures, stunning flowers @ewkaw 👋🏻😊

But now the smell in the air after the rain is soooo niceeee :)

Yes you are right…
Here it still rains 🌧⛈ with thunder and lightning.
But I know what you mean, suddenly all so much fresher.
Have a great evening 👋🏻😊

Wow, all the pictures that I saw are so beautiful.

Thanks :)

I could see that Helios swirl from a mile away. So so good!

Haha so recognizable...
I absolutely love it!
