I want to contribute to the question; "What does the Bible say about baptism? ( part 3 of 3)
Baptism in the Jordan river may seem to be a luxury or false Faith. A luxury, because if you have money,you can go there for sight seeing .People like to go places especially the rich.
Many people are adventurous and like to go places, this is the reason for the boom in the travel industry.
It is not a necessity that baptism should be conducted in the Jordan river.You can be baptized in your area where you reside.
The place of Baptism doesn't really matter but manner of baptism.The important question is the manner at which you are baptized and who will administer unto you?
You cannot allow yourself to be baptized by just anybody.That is ,you have a right to choose who will administer to you.
Matthew 28:19
"Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost".
Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Our Lord Jesus Christ made his instructions known to his disciples. He said to them to ; Make disciples,to teach Nations and to baptize them in the name of the father, son and holy Ghost.
The one who has the right to baptize is the person who has capacity to teach all the commandments of Christ.
Brethren, let us not be baptized by those that is ignorant of the Bible, who can not teach all the commandments of Christ and doctrines of Christ.
If these people; deacon, bishop, and ministers is apt to teach, then, they have the right to officiate baptism
But, if these people; deacon, bishop, a minister or anybody claiming to have authority to officiate baptism can not teach the entire Lord Jesus Christ, I want to let you know that you are risking your Salvation, when you are baptized by them
Brethren, the most important thing is, to receive baptism from only a person who can teach you everything about the commandments of God.
