To start with the Bible tells us that they is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit which shows that at a certain time, day or minute we would all die which implies that they is someone who owns our life and him only can determine our death and the person is no one but God Almighty the one that knows the beginning and the ending of us all. Death shows us that t we are from one superior being and it is in him we live, feed and dwell our lives in. Moving closer to God would show us that death is not evil and it is a sign to show our mortality and to serve God because we have limited and calculated time to live in this world and our major priority is to serve him no matter what

I really believe that this current body is not our initial state, Genesis 1:26 where God says that he made us in his image and likeness, and God Jehovah is spirit, not body.
That means that our state of body made and composed of flesh, is the result of the spirit of God mixing with sin, when Adam disobeys God and consumes the tree of knowledge.
Romans 6:23 explains that the wages of sin is death, by dying to the flesh, we only have to be a spirit and that is why it is necessary to die since that will return us to our initial state. Be a spirit with God our Lord.

This episode has changed my mind over the issue of death. It has thought me that death isn't as evil as man thinks except we're not on the side of God. And the most important lesson of death to man is to remind him of the existence of God as Eccl. 8:8 states that no man has the power to retain the spirit or, over death.
Death also proves we depend on God to live as Acts 17:28 states that it is in God we live and have our being. This means that without God we're nothing, and cannot even exist.
And finally, Prov. 10:27 as quoted, states that our days can be prolonged if we fear God. And at the same time, the wicked has a chance of his life being cut short.
With this, we should always remember there is God that has power to sustain us or withdraw his sustainance. And we would do well to obey him.

I want to contribute to what brother Eli said and from Ecl.8:8. God has the ultimate power to decide why people die, when they die and where they die.
It's important to understand that God's wisdom is past finding out and His decision is final and unquestionable. He's sovereign.
Besides, God by His wisdom and knowledge of the future might decide to terminate a life that would be doom if allowed to reach a certain age, thus averting the eternal lost. For example, someone that is holy before God now but will fall into eternal damnation in future might be taken away in form of death so he can be saved eternally.
Above all, only God knows why people die and nobody lives forever on earth. So the important thing is belonging to Christ, whether alive or physically death.
