Cactus and succulents are easy to grow. Well, you see, "easy" but still there are things that happen. They can decay if we water them too much, or dry if don't water them enough. Also, plagues can come, so there is a bit of work around them but plants give a lot of joy to those who like them :)
I hope your wife will find a plant for herself :)
