Czechia on my 1991 trip to Europe. After my Contiki tour I activated my youth euro rail pass and jammed as much as I could another 30 days. I only saw the Capital Prague for a couple of days but I did not have much idea on what I was doing. I am pretty sure I caught an over night train from Berlin. It might have been the trip I shared a compartment with a girl that was carrying a real life, old world war two hand gun in her purse for protection. I had never seen one in real life, in public, before come to think of it I have never seen once since either. On my way out of Czech Republic, I share another train compartment with a German and French couple that were arguing in English. Funny how I only really remember all the random stuff on my trips. I just pretended to read my lonely planet travel book. I think my Australian ascent ended up stopping there argument.
Rocking my world hard seat t shirt I had custom made in Nepal. It was my favorite for years until it fell apart.
The main train Station.
The Astronomical clock was pretty impressive. I have never seen anything like it any where else.
The Charles bridge, it was cold and misty in Winter but this sort of added to the very gothic feel.
You can just make out the Prague castle in the back ground.
The Vitava River
Obecni Dum Concrete Hall
One of the postcard stamps I would have sent home.

The marker on the TravelFeed map is not Prague, but you probably marked the place where your train was standing (or was going) :-).
Otherwise, it's interesting to see photos from 34 years ago. At that time, it was three years after the fall of communism. Everything was still "running the old way".
Ah Yes I just had the location set as Czechia, it must have pinned the middle of your country. Don't think I can change it now. Prague would have been more accurate. Hopefully I can see it again one day running the new way.

That would almost agree :-)
If you still manage to get to Prague, I recommend contacting @godfish or @krakonos. Both live in Prague and know the city very well.

Sure, let me know when you're around :)
In 1991 I visited Prague and Budapest with the school, if I remember well, the country was still Czechoslovakia...I remember the black market (in the astronomical clock square) to exchange dollars with national currency, and I also remember the supercheap price of the beer...That trip was an authentic venture 😜
I remember it as Czechoslovakia too !BEER on a school trip sounds like fun!
Look at you taking selfies all the way back then. I think you might be right: you might have started the selfie trend =)

But I've lived here for last 216 years, and haven't heard anything unusual.
