I've always liked riding on ferries, although I haven't done it very often. When I was quite young, there was still a ferry crossing the Columbia River, possibly at Roosevelt. It was at least 50 years ago, so I'm not sure. I just remember it seemed rather small and rickety, and I had doubts about its ability to carry us and our car across that deep, wide river.
