For the CCC's Street Art Contest #226, I present the latest mural done at the Mural Festival in June this year. It took a while to get a good photo of Ola Volo's work because each time, there was a lot of sun right above it. So what could be better than a beautiful grey sky to highlight the colours of this mural 😀.

Cela a pris du temps pour avoir une bonne photo du travail de Ola Volo car à chaque fois, il y avait un grand soleil juste au dessus. Alors quoi de mieux qu'un beau ciel gris pour mettre en valeur les couleurs de cette murale 😀.
WHERE
The mural is located on the corner of Rue Laurier and Avenue Papineau in Montreal. It's called Jardins Petit Laurier and features a number of tables, an urban garden and a mini-golf course.
La murale se situe au coin de la rue Laurier et de l'avenue Papineau à Montréal. Il s'agit des Jardins Petit Laurier qui proposent quelques tables, un jardin urbain ainsi qu'un mini-golf.

Ola Volo
Ola Volo is an artist originally from Kazakhstan who now lives in Montreal. She studied at Emily Carr University (Vancouver) where she obtained her BFA. Now she is an illustrator working for many companies and a muralist known for her unique style, a mix of history and folklore with animals and people.
Ola Volo est une artiste originaire du Kazakhstan qui vit aujourd'hui à Montréal. Elle a étudié à l'Université Emily Carr (Vancouver) où elle a obtenu son baccalauréat en beaux-arts. Maintenant elle est une illustratrice travaillant pour beaucoup d'entreprises et une muraliste reconnue pour son style unique, un mélange d'histoire et de folklore avec des animaux et des personnes.
This mural is a tribute to Marie-Louise-Félicité Angers, better known by her pen name Laure Conan. She was a writer of the 1800s who paved the way for many women in the literary world. A truly superb tribute in the characteristic style of Ola Volo.
Cette murale est un hommage à Marie-Louise-Félicité Angers, mieux connue sous le nom de plume de Laure Conan. Il s'agit d'une écrivaine des années 1800 qui a ouvert la voie à de nombreuses femmes dans le monde littéraire. Vraiment superbe hommage dans le style caractéristique de Ola Volo.
We're lucky in Montreal, as this is at least the seventh mural by this artist. I often use her murals to take part in the CCC's Street Art Contest organised by @digi-me. They are all really splendid, as proof 🔽
