Took a little trip up to Swanton, VT this week to get Betty the dog groomed. While waiting, I took the drone out for a little travel flight. Vermont is home to many small rivers, creeks, and waterfalls in addition to numerous lakes. 
The bridge and waterfall pictured here is over the Missisquoi River. The Missisquoi river is about 80 miles long and drains from the Green Mountains into Lake Champlain. It is frequented by kayakers in the warmer weather. According to the Department of Conservation, it has over 70 waterfalls, the highest being "Big Falls" which is over 35 foot drop.
This one at Swanton of course is nowhere near that tall.
According to the U.S. translation of the Abenaki word, it means "where there is flint", and there is an old chert quarry near Missisquoi bay of Lake Champlain.
According to the Canadian translation, it means "multitudes of water birds".
The trees are still budding out and not yet green, but the grass is already believing it is spring.
And a nice little video flyover of the waterfall close up from just below the falls, and the higher level across the bridge view.

I'm more of an old school canoe kind of guy vs. the kayak, but yes there are a lot of fantastic small rivers up here like that which would be nice to float. I've been tempted to get some type of floater, but haven't bitten yet.
Betty did get a nice grooming and lasted a whole day until she started rolling in stuff out in the field again. lol But it makes her happy!

Drones are now banned almost everywhere in Russia. My son bought a drone in the winter, but now it's lying idle in the pantry.
Sad to hear, but understandable why. Hopefully the nonsense will stop before much longer.
