Welcome to "Twisted Tales", a universe of fantastic and mysterious stories that circle the globe, offering you a unique and breathtaking experience. Prepare to become the protagonist who uncovers the secrets behind myths and legends in their most unusual nature, so close to being... real stories.

It's a pleasure to write to you again and share the story I've dreamed of over time in my quest to make animated films. "Once Upon a Time in a Town" is a tale that invites self-discovery, a story of love for a town, for life, and for the virtuous experience of believing. This animated comedy fuses social satire with the changes we face over time and, above all, highlights the value of our cultural identity.

This project was born out of a passion for preserving and sharing the cultural roots of Venezuela, incorporating emblematic characters like La Sayona, La Llorona, and El Silbón, alongside universal figures like vampires and zombies. This fusion creates a world where the local and the global converge, giving rise to stories that, though fantastic, resonate with our own experiences and emotions.

Utilizing the magic of stop-motion, a frame-by-frame animation technique that demands patience and dedication, I've brought to life puppets and settings that reflect the essence of our people. Inspired by references like Tim Burton, Laika Studios, and Aardman Animations, I seek to develop a unique signature that characterizes this proposal and brings a new perspective to the world of animation.

Ramón Estrella, our hero, is a plainsman inspired by figures like Simón Díaz, Reynaldo Armas, and Francisco Montoya. Together with his faithful companion Crazy donkey, Ramón transforms into Nocturnal Ray and crazy donkey into Galloping Fury, defenders of the town of Yuracote, facing threats that come from both mysterious creatures and oppression and lack of freedom of expression.

_{Accompanying them is Perolito, the bartender of the casino "The Broken Tombstone", a confidant and key ally in this struggle.}

_{We also meet the goat Elifas, the narrator of our story and vocalist of the band "The Paranoids", who, with their songs full of positive messages and good rhythms, close each chapter, enriching the experience with music that stays in our hearts.}

This project hasn't been without challenges. I faced economic and technical limitations while moving forward with this great dream, working with minimal budgets and recycled materials. However, passion and determination propelled me to continue, experimenting with new techniques and styles, and adapting to circumstances to make this vision a reality.

"Once upon a time in a town" is not just an animated film; it's a tool of cultural struggle and resistance. In a world where the media often distort and alienate, I seek to elevate the cultural level and awareness of new generations, promoting values like friendship, family, and pride in what is ours. I long for viewers to feel a deep desire to continue building and producing in Venezuela, creating a sense of belonging and love for our roots.

Bienvenidos a "Cuentos Insólitos y Mal Contados", un universo de historias fantásticas y misteriosas que recorren el mundo, ofreciéndote una experiencia única y sobrecogedora. Prepárate para convertirte en el protagonista que descubre los secretos detrás de mitos y leyendas en su naturaleza más insólita, tan cercanos a ser... historias reales.

Es un placer volver a escribirles y compartir con ustedes la historia que he soñado a lo largo del tiempo en mi búsqueda por hacer cine de animación. "Érase una vez en un pueblo" es un cuento que invita al encuentro con uno mismo, una historia de amor por un pueblo, por la vida y por la virtuosa experiencia de creer. Esta comedia animada fusiona la sátira social con los cambios que enfrentamos frente al tiempo y, sobre todas las cosas, resalta el valor de nuestra identidad cultural.

Este proyecto nació de la pasión por preservar y compartir las raíces culturales de Venezuela, incorporando personajes emblemáticos como la Sayona, la Llorona y el Silbón, junto a figuras universales como vampiros y zombies. Utilizando la magia del Stop-Motion, una técnica de animación cuadro por cuadro que exige paciencia y dedicación, he dado vida a marionetas y escenarios que reflejan la esencia de nuestro pueblo. Inspirados por referentes como Tim Burton, Estudios Laika y Aardman Animations, busco desarrollar una firma única que caracterice esta propuesta y aporte una nueva perspectiva al mundo de la animación.

Ramón Estrella, nuestro héroe, es un llanero inspirado en figuras como Simón Díaz, Reynaldo Armas y Francisco Montoya. Junto a su fiel compañero Burro Loco, Ramón se transforma en Rayo Nocturno y Burro en Furia galopante, defensores del pueblo Yuracote, enfrentando amenazas que provienen tanto de criaturas misteriosas como de la opresión y la falta de libertad de expresión.

Este proyecto no ha estado exento de desafíos. Enfrente limitaciones económicas, técnicas, y seguir adelante con este gran sueño; trabajando con presupuestos mínimos y materiales reciclados. Sin embargo, la pasión y determinación me impulsaron a continuar, experimentando con nuevas técnicas y estilos, y adaptándome a las circunstancias para hacer realidad esta visión.

"Cuentos Insólitos y Mal Contados" no es solo una pelicula animada; es una herramienta de lucha y resistencia cultural. En un mundo donde los medios a menudo distorsionan y alienan, busco elevar el nivel cultural y la conciencia de las nuevas generaciones, promoviendo valores como la amistad, la familia y el orgullo por lo nuestro. Anhelo que los espectadores sientan profundas ansias por seguir construyendo y produciendo en Venezuela, creando un sentimiento de pertenencia y amor por nuestras raíces.
