Family Fitness Friday!

Recently our family started getting up early three times a week and working out together in our pavilion.

We usually do some stretches and then run/walk 5 laps around our loop, which is 2 miles. We do a circuit on Friday and go through it twice. Wednesdays have also now changed to include sprints on part of the loop.

We have 6 kids and most of the time all of the kids are there participating. Everyone does what they're able. The youngest sometimes stays sleeping and we don't wake her up, but all of the rest of us are there.

On Fridays, our circuit includes pushups, sit ups, kettle bell, jump rope, ab roller, and triceps dips. There are some that are easier than others, and some get more complaints than the others. Ha! And some of the kids are way more into it than others!

We have invited friends to join us, so sometimes we have a few others exercising with us, but it's also fun when it's just our family.

The good thing is it only lasts about 20-30 minutes, and it's a good start to the day! Perhaps we're getting stronger and instilling in our kids the importance of staying in shape!

I like the idea of Fitness Friday! It's great that you're instilling the value of fitness to the kids.
I've had to start doing stretching exercises, been doing too much sitting and my aching joints started complaining 😉

Thanks! The kids are mostly used to it now and not complaining as much. Ha! I feel like I'm even getting a little stronger and able to do more than I was able to on day 1!
