All over the city, on different days and usually once a week in every neighbourhood there are markets selling different things, from food and fruit to handicrafts, handicrafts of all kinds and clothes.

The city is organised in this way, the market in one neighbourhood, for example, is open every Wednesday and in another neighbourhood every Tuesday. But this market is different and special. It is a market, but only for handicrafts.

It is open every first Sunday of the month and the truth is that you can enjoy art and crafts of excellent quality and variety. The opening hours are quite long and you can visit the market from 11 am to 7 pm, and if it is a sunny day in winter it is even better.

Yesterday was the first Sunday of the month of February, so I went to the flea market, starting by showing you the face of the beautiful Teatro Cervantes, then I walked down a small street where the buildings are so high that the sun never reaches them and at the end of the street I could see the square that contained the flea market.

The characteristic feature of the square is the large monument in the centre of the square and around it is the large number of marquee-shaped stands in one or two rows. What I can observe is that as time goes by more and more artisans are there on this special day.

I haven't been there for a long time, I think it's been more than two years since I last went to the market and I saw it changed a lot, for the better. There was only one clothing stall and it was all painted linen, truly handmade.

You could see everything from painted wooden boards, woven dolls, costume jewellery, also earrings, bracelets, silver pendants and other materials, all of excellent quality.

The day was sunny and it was ideal to be able to walk around each of the stalls admiring these handicrafts. Besides, I was surprised by the amount of people, looking and buying. The quality of the products is amazing, as well as the level of detail in the handicrafts.

I could also see painted plates, in different materials. Others were not painted, but in many colours. There were decorations for the home, but also certain items that I had never seen anywhere else, such as these funny dolls.

As I said, the stalls were arranged in a sort of gallery around the big monument, and I walked around them twice, because sometimes there were so many people in one stall that I couldn't see the items properly. Besides, I always like to look around.

This stall had some very beautiful bags and many other products, I loved the colours, the finishes, how well presented and the great variety.

I didn't buy anything this time, but I did look around to see if I could find something I really liked. I'm not one to make purchases unnecessarily, but I really like earrings and rings, so you can imagine where I'll be shopping next month, maybe on the first Sunday of next month.

The products that are made of wood, I also like a lot, wood is warmth, it must be because of that and because it is a beautiful material to work with and to paint. There were many stalls with little things made of wood and I liked that a lot.

I also noticed stands with painted posters and a kind of painting that was very original in its shape and style, so much so that I didn't realise until I looked at the photographs, that I passed by twice and both times I took pictures of it. You can tell I liked it a lot.

Amonet.

As I walked around the place I heard many languages, so the amount of tourists was quite a lot and they intermingled with the locals, it's nice to see that. Being so close to the historic centre, just one street crossing away, and on the other side a street full of restaurants, makes it an ideal place for meeting people, but also for commerce as is the case here.

It was a beautiful afternoon, with a very artistic route, as I like them, as well as enjoying the sun, the people and the good views. I think many people look forward to the first Sunday of every month, it becomes an ideal place for a stroll and a part of life.

Thank you all for joining me in this beautiful meeting of art, quality, style and good products. I send you my best regards. See you soon.

Thank you for this tour @avdesing. I start, that façade of the Cervantes Theater looks spectacular to me Teatro Cervantes. Then the flea market looks like a nice and entertaining place to walk among the stalls. I really liked the cups, bowls, plates, vases and that ceramic butterfly.

I just heard that it rained torrentially in Málga, hope you are well.

That theatre is beautiful, I've never been there yet, I'm not really into theatre hahaha, I'm more into cinema.

The flea market is beautiful and I especially liked the butterfly. Thank you very much!

There are some affected areas but where I am everything is normal, a normal rain and it was at night and some in the morning. Thank you very much!

Ess butterfly is beautiful. About the rains, glad to hear you are doing well. I guess your mom is doing better.

And, again, thanks to you. See you tomorrow 👋, I'm still tired 😩 🤣.

I'm not surprised that you found many tourists, given that your city is beautiful and very interesting to visit

I love this type of fairs

Thank you very much dear friend @avdesing for sharing these beautiful shots

I love them too, there are always beautiful things to see... and buy hahaha thanks!🤗

This kind of walk, admiring the creations of the artisans, is usually very entertaining. The woven dolls are very beautiful and very well made. There is a unicorn with a colourful, tousled mane that caught my eye. I went to where they sell the wooden boxes and bought the blue one that says ‘Imagine’. I think it's to put the tea bags in?

I love that people choose something from everything I've brought... I sell everything... ahhh no no I don't sell anything hahaha

Yes I saw that colourful beauty, I know you love them and the little boxes were lovely, only there's post I don't want to take close up pictures hahaha... imagine me love it!🤗

Have a nice week 😉 and yes, stay away from temptations because if one has bigger plans, temptations abound to test you hahaha.

What temptations? What do I stay away from? hahahaha

🙂 far from the table you told me you can't go and photograph... or did I dream it?

I almost died.... couldn't translate and it was Danish language! Translator error. I also really liked the painted plates, it's great to see so many products! Thank you!🤗
