Remembering their Kittenhood 🐈🖼️ a Visual Walk Down Memory Lane

in Caturday4 days ago

A few years ago our calico cat, Kisu, gave birth to four beautiful little kittens.

These babies brought to so much joy to the dark days of the pandemic era we were living through. Argentina was in a state of total lock down, we couldn't leave our towns and as my partner & I had recently arrived in the area we had no friends nor sense of community.

In general we were quite lucky; we had a place to live, online work, and very few living expenses. And with the arrival of these four kittens the times in between taking care of work tasks was spent caring for the kittens and their mom.

Instead of worry about viruses and world events, my world was the cats! I laughed, smiled, and said "I love you!" more than any other time in my life ~ truly the best medicine for that year of isolation.

Not everything worked out as I had hoped and we couldn't keep all the kitties, I do enjoy walking down memory lane from time to time & looking at these kitten pictures.

Here is the beautiful tabby/calico Paprika. From the very beginning she showed herself to be smart and independent. She is one of those cats who knows how beautiful she is and also loves to be reminded of it daily. The first couple of years she was a bit grumpy too and has now matured (at four years old) in to a sweet, albeit lazy, kitty.

And the best friends forever, Tacu and Reishi, who still to this day will be found laying side by side. It is so sweet to see their companionship and reminds me that cats need community just as much as humans do.

They say that cats, like all other animals, come into your life when you need them most. They not only offered company and love, but they also left you with beautiful memories 😊 It's a shame they couldn't keep them all. I hope those kittens are loved in their new homes. Very nice photos, thank you for sharing your beautiful memories with us 🥰

It is so true! i am really grateful for their continued presence in my life ~ honestly it is better than therapy. Thanks for your comment!

many thanks!!!

Kittens are always so cute to watch and hold. Their tiny faces are so tempting to squeeze lol. I miss having kittens. Though once you have them, it's quite unfortunate that they grow up so fast 🤣 I kinda wish they'd remain tiny for a few more months but even as adults they're still cute anyway. :D

I wish they could stay kittens for a few years too! Luckily they are really cute & sweet even as adults. When I miss their kitten era I have hundreds of pics and videos to look back on, luckily!
