Pickles!!

There are cat people, there are dog people, and then there are those of us who like all animals and find those who try to espouse how one is better than the other about as amusing as people who go around spouting off the superiority of their chosen thing over the other.

That said, I truly do adore cats.

They are goofballs. They are regal. They embody a feral grace and unapologetic ferociousness that I find endearing.

DogCat excels at reclining and flipping dogs via a nose grabbing throw.

Yet, they get their heads stuck in boxes and love to steal people's chairs. Cats truly are a walking paradox, a clawed bit of floof that can be equal parts love and equal parts disdain.

Pickles, bless his sweet heart....

And all parts purr and pets. And toe biting.

Baby Pickles!

This week has been rough, and my cats, not that they are mine because I don't think anyone really owns a cat, have been a source of comfort as I have ailed. They have stretched out on my legs and kept me warm. They have looked at me under lidded eyes in a manner that reminds me of my fleeting mortality.

Sweet, sweet Teela

They have made me laugh when I felt like shedding a tear or two.

And they have stuck their dang claws in my legs for no reason whatsoever.

Yaga, plotting something's demise.

I love cats.

This is Pod. Yep, my dad named the kitten I gave him Tide Pod.

I'm still a bit on the ill side, but mending. I am sorry I have been so slow to respond to replies and not post my usual amount of postery, I anticipate I shall be back in full speed ahead mode very soon....

And as most of the time, all of the images in this post were taken on the author's probably more cat scented and hair covered than it would like iPhone.

Sort:

I think I should foster kittens from the local animal shelter. Because I absolutely adore kittens! Then they grow up into big, lazy, old cats that just lie around and take up space and eat endlessly. Annie will keep me company when I feel unwell, but she will haul off and bite or scratch for no reason, which does nothing to improve my health or my humor. Clarence is a really nice cat, except for when he sharpens his claws on the sofa. They have apparently become too staid to get their heads stuck in a box or to play in a paper sack. Maybe I should put a paper sack out for them, just in case.

Fostering kittens sounds like a bag full of fun, for real! I have thought about doing that, but then I end up getting animals foisted on me. There always seems to be a young cat or kittens showing up round here. I need to get the two latest additions in to be spayed, or else I might have more kittens around than necessary!

Hopefully the paper sack initiative yields cat craziness for your amusement lol!

Same as me I like dogs more but own more cats but actually I like all animals.

Animals are the best! I’m sure the cats think they own you and the dog(s) 😆

No worries! Just keep posting kitties!

I love cats too. Not nutso, cat lady kind of love, but, dang it, they have such personality. Their love is unending and never stops. They are funny and little thieves. They used to come to the Shore House with me, but, I stopped that when they stopped coming back so they could go home with me. Indoor/outdoor cats. One was indoor. I would come home a few days later and find little kitty prints in places they aren't allowed. Who knew they were my bosses?

They make such a fun kind of subject... Feel better, sweetie!
