Why?
Beer drinkers from the surrounding countries, my neighbors in the Western Balkans, probably know that.I'm sorry that in this community, where space should only be given to #Beer, I will also mention a little politics.
Unrelated to the student protests in Serbia, which have been going on for the third month, against the regime of dictators and thieves who are called our president, something else is happening.
There is a boycott of retail chains.
"Enough thieves, go to hell" is all we could say to all the retail chains that use their margins to make food in supermarkets more expensive than in any European country.
But not only food in markets. Restaurants are not far behind supermarkets, which have doubled their prices in the last year.
And the bars and pubs are not far behind either. Coffee today costs as much as a pint of beer a year ago.
And since we are on boycott, from Friday to Friday, I don't go to markets, nor to restaurants and pubs...
So where should I drink a beer?
I'll drink it home 😀
I'll open my fridge and reach for the remaining cans of beer from Robocraft Brewery.
I think that with these two beers, I have come full circle and tried all the beers from their offer. Until they brew some new variant.
I still have two cans left.
Shinigami, Appuru APA and Kriegerbot, Hefewiezen.
I prepared some homemade pork and beef ham, hot sausage and some smoked pork neck with young cheese and aged cheese with hot pepper.
I bought this from a small producer at the market. How much food do you think I would get if I bought it at the supermarket? For the same amount, probably twice as much...
I poured first Shinigami, Appuru APA with 5% aclochol. Water, barley malt, hops and yeast give this beer a refreshing, slightly sour taste.
The foam in the glass when pouring is high and well maintained.
The cloudy, opaque yellow color gives this beer a nice appearance and the beer is pleasantly refreshing.
The smoked ham didn't go very well with this light beer, so I drank it quickly and poured the next one.
Kriegerbot, Hefewiezen, 6% alcohol, unfiltered and unpasteurized is a light Wheat ALE beer.
Along with the basic ingredients, water, barley malt, hops and yeast, there is also wheat malt, which gives the beer a characteristic wheat taste.
This beer is also cloudy, but it has a slightly darker color, which does not give it a nice appearance in the glass.
The foam is thick, high and looks nice.
And the beer tastes great. The full wheat flavor of the beer suits this strong smoked meat.
I'm very glad that I had these two cans in reserve, and that I didn't have to go against the boycott, so I had to go to a bigger market and buy myself some beer for #beersaturday or go to a pub and stomp on my revolutionary attitude on the taps.
If the boycott goes on and these thieves don't agree to drop the prices (which could take a whole month), I'll see what and how to proceed.
I have a few more cans in reserve that I bought in a gift package with a glass, thinking to give it to a friend.
If the boycott is extended, instead of my friend, I will enjoy the taste of those new flavors, and you will have the opportunity to witness my impression.
Messages for beer drinkers around the world, Cheers!
And for my dear neighbors in the boycott, "Well done and be brave".
Cheers! All designs look pretty good.
Since I started drinking craft from smaller breweries, in addition to new tastes and smells, design is my favorite.
Robocraft is not behind in ideas...
That happened to me a few years ago, and now it's what it is. 🍻 !BEER
I love the glass and the bites is perfect. the beer I haven't try yet but when become to the beer I really feel my mouth feel thirsty. enjoy.....
I didn't have proper beer glasses, but as I started drinking craft, I collected a few.
I use to put the beer on my red wine glass to have a nice feeling while drinking the beer, glass will also add on the feel and the mood while drinking, don't know but I' am like that glass is important like more special hahahaha
