RE: CBC Amber Weiss and Snacks Mid Conference for #BeerSaturday

That will be the day I return to cash haha. But with everything leaning towards going digital, scary times ahead of us. As you said, the older population is especially vulnerable. Scams are getting more sophisticated by the day. One wrong click on a link, and everything you worked for is down the drain. Such a shame that we live in such cold times. Money, the root of all evil, needs a rethinking.

Sort:

Scary times indeed, but we have the very best anchor to hold on to. One would think that all of the warnings not to click on links would work, but evidently not, as a message stating that you have won a fortune still has the desired effect. Money can be managed my friend, and anyone can avoid the strangle hold that it has on one's life. All that it takes is discipline.

For sure, but few schools in life will teach you these skills and discipline. Life as a school is the only one that can teach you, and as we know there are stronger anchors to hold onto!

So important to teach people from one's own experiences, but sadly there's not many readers around these days. But one must understand that there are many pitfalls in life, and to negotiate them safely, only if one learns from one's mistakes. !LOL

What do you call an island populated entirely by cakes?

Thank you for being an !LOLZ supporter.

Sad part is that everyone needs to hit their head before they learn. Few people want to accept the fact that they can learn from older people with more experience. Young ones do not want to listen. I myself have many times asked myself why did I not listen to my parents, but so we learn, right?

I think that all of us make the mistake of not listening to our parents. My mom warned me not to marry my first wife, but I knew better and to my dismay, my mom was proven to be 100$ correct.

They know better, right? My mother's father also warned her about her first fiance, almost-husband, and to her dismay, he was also right about the chap. Lucky for me, as my mother then met my father, hence my presence! A higher hand that knows better..

The higher Hand always knows better, and it departs the correct feelings to one's parents. The sad thing is that as youngsters, we always know better, and eventually we burn our fingers, instead of listening in the first place. Parents have a lifetime of experience available to us for free, but like I said, we always think that we know better. !LOL
