It's actually interesting to know "Vienna Lager" isn't a common style out there haha
Well, first of all, the style was indeed created in Vienna (Anton Dreher is the creator, according to Google), but it's no longer made in Europe, just by some American breweries (in the sense of the whole continent).
As for the characteristics, this style is very similar to the Amber Lager, but it contains a malt called "Vienna" so I think this particular Vienna Lager is sweeter than an average Amber Lager – although I just found out strong toasted and caramelly tastes in Viennas are actually off-flavors. So close, Eisenbahn haha

Thanks for the explanation @zombialien I believe that you deserve another !BEER for that! I'm happy to learn something more about the technical part behind of the beers. I've been drinking quite some beers, as you can appreciate in my blog but I feel that I'm lacking a bit on technical knowledge though...
