As planned, the SMT reward pool for BYTE token has been successfully launched. BYTE staking and delegation are also now enabled. BYTE token is available on TribalDEX and Hive-Engine.com, currently at a sell price of 0.001 SWAP.HIVE.

A "Hello, World!" program is usually the first program written by a beginner learning a programming language. It's simple and short.

Now that staking is enabled for content creation and curation, perhaps you'll begin by using the #learntocode tag and creating a kind of Hello World post to introduce yourself to the Learn to Code tribe. Share what you already know, your plans for learning and development, and the type of content you intend to post most frequently.

These are our volunteer tribe moderators:

@arc7icwolf
@memess.byte
@mviews
@weone

Are you ready to learn to code? We look forward to seeing your content. Let's learn and create together!

I am happy to see the Learn2Code tribe go live and I hope to see a steady stream of posts about coding.

I have to confess. I have multiple accounts. @yintercept is my personal account. I might write some articles about programming with this account.

I am looking forward to the Diesel Pools. I have a pile of STEM, BYTE and BEE in this account to put in the pools.

A few years back I created the account @irivers for a HIVE project. I am using it to curate STEM posts. It has 30K STEM and I will accumulate my BYTE on this account. I will probably aim for 10K BYTE in this account. I will probably end up with more.

NOTE: I created @irivers account for an HE project. I was put on the @spaminator list when I was in the development phase of the project. They never told me why. I think it was because I said something that upset a whale. I've been extremely gun shy about writing posts ever since.

Have a Happy Easter. I will probably spend more time curating posts than writing. Regardless I am wishing the best for the tribe.

It is unlikely that hw's blacklisted you for your speech.
They often do it as a way to get people to communicate with them.
If you are in their discord, you can ask them.

hello.world : )
Planned to have a discord server ?
If yes it would be cool if we make it now so i can inculde the link in my post

Yes, I guess I should have one. I just created a server for Learn to Code with link that never expires and unlimited uses. https://discord.gg/n6WWEMQD67

I won't be able to add more channels to it until later today.

Do you have a matrix room?
It is much better than discord.

I am not familiar with matrix room. I'll need to look into that. Thanks.

It's open source and encrypted for private messages.

5 million BYTE to founder (@holovision.stem)
5 million BYTE to @learn2code account.
4 million BYTE split up and delegate between 4 tribe moderators.
1 million BYTE to be put on exchanges before launch
7,824,796 BYTE for Learn to Code tribe fund (future contest prizes, LP rewards, ect.

At least 4 of 5 million to founder should be burned.

At least 4 of 5 million to founder should be burned.

It's already been staked and used for upvoting. The whitepaper was published a week before that happened. You should have raised your objection during that time window.

I guess you're probably religious but tithe is traditionally 10%, not 80%. Was I supposed to consult you first and get your arbitrary ratio before I spent my 3000 BEE to start the tribe? If so, does your 80% tithe religion offer absolution?

@politicalhive will launch in June. You can copy-paste your objection in a reply to that whitepaper in a timely manner then.

What is the stacking rate of BYTE ?

Sorry for the delay. I am checking this post again before Hive payout (BYTE payout is 8 days) to make sure I haven't missed any replies. Apparently I did. Sorry. Good news is your reply has been upvoted.😁

The staking of BYTE payout is 50%/50%. The unstaking rate is also quicker than most other tokens. Unstaking of BYTE only takes 8 days (over 4 transactions).

I do not see the BYTE token in the rewards listed in my hive-engine profile?
I started staking last week.

BYTE token takes 8 days to pay out. The rewards pool was created a little over 7 days ago. Payments from the reward pool will begin in about 24 hours.

I know it's a little weird. Most H-E tokens pay out after 7 days. VYB token is also 8 day payout. If a post uses both the Verify Your Brain and Learn to Code tribe tags BYTE posts can still get an extra day of upvotes on vybrainium.com.

ha, ok. How are you going to pay people whos will post article in #learntocode ? directly into their wallet? what is the algorithm to pay? depending of nb of upvote or quantity of curation ?

I've checked and the payouts have begun in the reward pool.

it's handled by the SMT smart contract on Hive-Engine. It's the same as other

Hive Engine tokens. Users that stake BYTE share a 50%/50% split in curation and creator content.

Users that stake BYTE share a 50%/50% split in curation and creator content.

Does that mean that when I upvote someone, he is earning BYTE?
And what creator content mean for BYTE holder?
Can you please explain with more details and examples.

As soon as I'll be back to my pc (in a few days), I'm going to buy some BYTE :)

Am I still in time to use a different account for curation purpose? Like @memess is doing, so I can split this curation activity from the one of my main account.

I haven't set it yet. Let me know which account to delegate your moderator BYTE to. Thanks.

Just created the account arc7icwolf.byte :) I'm going to use that!

1,000,000 BYTE has been delegated to your new account.

PIZZA!

$PIZZA slices delivered:
@yintercept(1/15) tipped @learn2code
arc7icwolf tipped learn2code

and btw in another learn2code post you sayed this :
#hive-188262 (community tag is required for rewards pool)
Used for any Learn to Code tribe announcements, contests/hackathons, Hive project promotions, posts about the tribe and/or BYTE token, etc

Does this mean post with the other tags won't get rewards ?

No, any one or more of the tags gets indexed (rewarded) by the pool. Just like how either or both #proofofbrain or/and #pob as tag(s) for a post gets rewarded with POB token.
