RE: Hello, World!

I've checked and the payouts have begun in the reward pool.

it's handled by the SMT smart contract on Hive-Engine. It's the same as other

Hive Engine tokens. Users that stake BYTE share a 50%/50% split in curation and creator content.

Does that mean that when I upvote someone, he is earning BYTE?
And what creator content mean for BYTE holder?
Can you please explain with more details and examples.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, you both (you as upvoting curator and the other user being the post author) get BYTE. The user that has staked BYTE and upvotes the post gets half of the reward with the other half going to the creator of the content being upvoted.

The amount of reward depends on the amount of BYTE staked, the upvote percentage, and the amount of BYTE voting power. BYTE voting power is very similar to Hive Power. If you use up all your BYTE voting power making a bunch of upvotes it takes 8 days to recharge from 0% to 100%. Each upvote consumes some of your BYTE voting power. At 100% BYTE voting power with a 100% upvote 2% of your BYTE voting power would be consumed.

The metadata parameters for BYTE token can be found here:

https://scot-api.hive-engine.com/config?token=BYTE

Do people earn BYTE when I upvote their post even when they don't use learntocode tags or it is not in the learntocode group ?

BYTE is only rewarded for Learn to Code tribe tags.
