Hello Hivers, I want to share this Eco-friendly bamboo-made NFC business card of mine.

I am just sharing this incredible and not-so-ordinary business tap card. In my country, it’s minimal even on corporate offices to get a business card, as I knew. This card is revolutionary in the business industry. This NFC business card is a game-changer with the people that has multiple businesses or even hopping from one company to another. Imagine having tons of paper business cards and printing them hundreds every time you’re run out. Anyhow, It can even be used as a personal contact card. I choose the bamboo material in Sapele color as it looks so incredible and astonishing. Imagine a business card in the form of thin wood, and you support a green lifestyle. However, the card is flimsy as it is made of wood; you need to handle them with extra care or get them broken in a second. I choose this material because I also support their project, they plant trees in every purchase of it.

As you can see, I got a logo design printed on it, yes it’s customizable, and you can add whichever design or logo you want, but this is also limited with regards to the materials you will choose. The most sturdy is the metal hybrid card; however, it has a limited design as its laser engraved and is only available in matte black. The other card materials are PVC, a plastic-made card, and a metal hybrid card that combines metal and PVC. The PVC card has available different colors and is the most flexible for design and prints. All the cards have embedded NFC chips that transmit your assigned profile to the receiver. On one side of the card where your logo design is printed and on the rear side is the QR code.

I like my card because it looks unique from a standard card; it is already an upgraded business card because of the NFC features. The cards fit well on my wallet, just as same sizes as our other cards. I can set up anything on them, my blog link, contact information, social media links. I think most of the business information needed can be input on the card. The design process is superb, and I was able to get a digital sample before printing them to request amendments I wanted to. I used my son’s name in combination and my work as a virtual assistant as a logo as I don’t have my own company. But of course, you can use any print logo you want, just the name of your picture or anything you want to be printed on the card. The card texture doesn’t have a finishing touch; it’s bamboo and has a rough wood feel.

I haven’t used this much; there are various ways to transmit the info. First, if the phone receiver is NFC supported, they can tap and receive your information through NFC tapping. QR code scanning is for phones that are not NFC supported. You may also send via email or text your profile link in incase the card is not available handy. Some marketers like this idea, and they print their QR codes on some marketing brochures or leaflets. This brings them more customers and leads by just scanning their QR from the posted flyers.

If you might be confused on how the card can transfer information with just tapping or scanning. The card NFC is being connected to a web portal once activated. Anything you set on the web portal and assigned will be lived on the card as well. There is different information to be set: contact card, website links, appointment calendar, lead form, email, social media links, and many more. There is also analytics where you can track how many times your card has been tapped or scanned. One of my favorites is the lead form, where the receiver of my info can fill out the form and share their contact and information with them as well, and that I can save for any future or upcoming transactions.

The profile is customizable but limited designs. You may change profile info from time to time if you want to shift information in real-time. As I mentioned, this is good for a person with multiple businesses or networks as they can swiftly change info from one to another without having various business cards. Also suitable for a company that provides business cards to their employees. You don’t need to print another business card every time there is new in the company. You can use other cards or other employees’ business cards who left the company, and you may manage and change data for the new employee. This newly developed business card saves money and is very useful.

Sharing with my profile is simple, and I can add different social media platforms, even payment platforms such as Paypal. The contact card is savable to phones contact, which also saves time for the receiver. Instead of saving every information on an old business card, this can be saved in just a few taps, and all data will be kept on the phone. It’s indeed an extraordinary card. My profile link is also like a website where I can add videos, accordions, photo gallery and contact me details. Life-changing card, huh-. The only concern is not yet all phones are NFC supported. Even my device is not so the most used for me is the QR code scanning.

By the way, if you are not a card-type person, there are also other items available in taps where you can stick at the back of your phone, a keyring, or a wristband with embedded chips that work as well same functions as the cards. Just sharing this wonderful creation, and this card can be purchased from a company in the UK. But if there are NFC business cards nearby in your area, you can also try them as these business cards are somehow pricey and will cost shipping and some customs fees if imported from the UK. The good thing about what I have is that this is a one-time purchase only, and I can use their web portal for free if I want to get some additional features that will already require a subscription. But all in all, I’m good with regular use.
