"Due date is coming"

in Hive PH2 years ago

Does your bill's had already arrived at your doorstep? How was it? I mean did you made some reduction or does your bill's had increased than your previous one? If so, what are the changes you made just to reduce your bill?

Anyway, hello Hiver's how's your Monday so far? I wish you had a great day, and wherever you are right now I hope your in safe and sound.

So today, our water and electricity bills were delivered to our house at the same time, which means due date is literally waving. Our electricity bills due was on August 31, while our water bill was on August 29. Luckily, our bills isn't that big, so I didn't feel stressed about it this time. But I saw a posts earlier today on noisecash, regarding their very high electricity bill for this month, and the way she complain about it makes me wonder if they have Air-condition at home. However to my surprise the owner of the post say's that they don't have AC, and it really makes me think why they have that high electricity bill. Is there any some changes again?

Anyway, today I'll be going to share with you how we made some reduction in our electricity consumption at home.

So at home we don't have Air-condition, but we also one's receive a high electricity bill and that was last April of this year.

This amount for our electricity bill is already high for us, since we don't have much appliances. What we have is just a TV,rice cooker, electric water heater, two electric fan's, then that's it. But as you can see from our power consumption we consume 90Kwh in 30 day's and we wonder how it happened.

So starting that month, we started to monitor our electricity consumption. We minimize our screen time, I mean we minimize using our TV. In one day we only use our TV for 2-3 hour's, since I am always busy with my phone I don't mind not using our TV. We can't minimize our use with our electric fan since that month is really hot.

The next month we saw a little decrease in our electricity bill.

As you can see, from 90kwh to 66kwh, we have saved 24kwh from this bill. But this amount was still high for us, so I decided to stop using our electric water heater. Instead of using electricity I only use gas stove to boil our water. We also decided to change our electric fan into clip fan to save more from that month.

Lol. I found it funny.😂 Well, we really need to keep on reducing to save some in our expenses as we really struggling with our budget.😂

So the next month we again made some decrease.

After the continues reducing and minimizing of usage, the next month we save 18kwh from our previous bill. This time, we decided to maintain our use of our electricity.

2-3 hour's TV,
No electric fan and
No electric water heater

We continue using clip fan instead.

We bought three pieces of this clip fan and we only use two everyday. We only use the extra one if we have visitors at home.

After one month, here is our electricity bill now.

We are happy, as we have successfully made a big decrease from our electricity consumption.

Tips;

After using your appliances, like TV and etc. always make sure that you unplug it from the outlet because even if you are not using it, it's still consuming a power. And if you're going to open your TV and your not watching it, turn it off, don't waste your electricity.

Nice one, sis. My gosh! I think I am inspired to monitor our consumption na din coz honestly, I didn't bother. In our first month dito sa new house namin, naka 2k ata bill namin. Not sure pero more or less ganun. MInsan, twice kami nag aAC. Tas sometimes, naka AC, fan, and ceiling fan pa. At kung me tao sa labas, on din ang ibang ceiling fans. Actually, maliit lang bahay namin pero ceiling fans namin nasa 5 at isang electric fan. LOL. Maisulat ko nga to. HHAHAHA. Basta thank you for this kasi me naisip akong idea.

Quite interesting considering the kWh that those appliances use. Thank you for the tit-bit of knowledge ^_^

Water heaters use so much electric but the fans shouldn't be using so much.

Amazing you got the bill down so much though !

Hope you and your family well. Take care :-)

Yes exactly, and also the Normal stand fan😅 that is why we also replace them. Anyway thank you so much for your constant support ☺️☺️.

This pattern is good because it helps to monitor and control the cost/charges of electricity.

Our pattern here is a written bill from the management's office...I don't know how they come about the actual bill(if it's real)🤷

Oh, that's bad as maybe they are making some cheating.

Our bills are just delivered via email, though there are some papers sent to us we get notified and pay it immediately. We use cred card for the transactions so that I can still build a credit.

Regarding the consumption, somehow ours isn't that monitored yet. We only check our usages if it is exceeding the threshold that we allotted but more often than not, since we are not using the AC during night time our Kwh consumption lowered down by 15% at most.

At home we really have to monitor our's, so we won't exceed to our budget. At home it's only my partner who's earning and as a partner, minimizing our expenses is the only thing I can help for him.☺️

Yay! 🤗

I have never really cared to check the cause of our expensive electric bills. We have so many appliances at home and most of them are essential to us but as you have narrated, maybe I could really find some workaround to be able to have lower consumption.
Let's see what I can do 😅

Anyways, this is really a good one. It encourages people like me to be aware of the bills. 😂

Thank you 😊.

People like us who are struggling with our expenses and budgets really learned how to monitor and maximize everything. Lol.

Because if we won't make any changes and adjustments, our bill's won't adjust for us.. like never! hahahhaha

Hahaha! So true, our bills will never adjust for us 😂

Summer time is also when we have a high electricity consumption. It is our habit too to unplug the appliances when it is not in use. The clip fan is cute! 😊

Summer din nagmamahal ang singil ng kuryente. 😂😂
