Gym Workout at Bogo Amazing Fitness Center: A Beginner's First Day Experience

Hello dear Hivers!I hope you are healthy and well on this wonderful day.

As we age, we get to realize how important physical activity is to our health and well-being. There's really a need to engage ourselves in regular exercise, if not, even once a week, and sweat out in order to get fit and healthy.

On this occasion let me share with you how @melit79 and I spent our weekend actively trying a physical workout at a gym: my first time experience at Bogo Amazing Fitness Center Hub.

I have never gone to a gym to do any kind of physical workout but I make sure I can go jogging or walking even once a week in order to exercise and sweat out. I mentioned in my previous blog that this is my New Year's Resolution and I've been trying to keep this routine since the start of the year.

It was actually our long-time plan with @melit79 but only on this day that we got to realize this. And I hope this won't be the last!(chuckled)

Bogo Amazing Fitness Center Hub: The Location

Bogo Amazing Fitness Center is located at Sor D. Rubio St., Barangay San Vicente, Bogo City on top of Ze Marco Cafe and Restaurant. Situated on the 3rd floor of the R & F Building, gym goers should start the workout by climbing the fitness center through the stairs.

Reaching the fitness center, we found more males dominating the whole place which made me feel more hesitant and uncomfortable. But seeing also about 3 females that came ahead of us, I thought "keri ra ko ni!" (I could do this!) lol

Upon seeing us, the female in charge and instructor warmly welcomed and oriented us about the routine for beginners and the fees.

The Gym Fee

₱50.00 ($0.92) for non-members and ₱40.00 ($0.72) for members unlimited time. If there's anyone who could stay longer here. lol) In order to avail of the membership card, gym goers need to pay ₱200.00 ($3.67) as an annual membership fee.

The Beginner Workout

Looking at the equipment inside the gym, I just thought and felt this gym workout should be overwhelming and intimidating.(chuckles)

After a minute or two doing stretching, we were told by the female instructor that because we were beginners, we should start with the cardio exercise. She further reminded us to take everything slow and gradual until we undergo the medium to high-intensity workout "Can I survive, this?" I thought. !lol

Cycling

Guided by the fitness instructor, we started with the stationary bikes and continued pedaling for about 20-30 minutes. Whew! The first few pedals were of low intensity for a few minutes then I tried switching it to medium intensity until it seemed my leg muscles got stiffer and couldn't anymore make pedaling action. But for sure I didn't stop, but switch back to low intensity.

The Routine

It seemed easy but it wasn't actually! lol Let me show you the routine that we did and we had to repeat them twice. But of course, our fitness instructor reminded us not to put too much pressure on what we do but to take it slow, breathe and pause before moving on from one physical activity to another.

Jump and Squat Exercises

Curl Up Exercise

It was indeed a challenging and perspiring effort to engage in this first-time experience doing the workout at a gym but I felt a sense of accomplishment surviving my first day. Sweating out through exercise is indeed an energizing and refreshing feeling! Looking forward to my next visit!

Just a Piece of Advice for Women Like Me:

Do not wear lipstick when you decide to do a gym workout so that the fitness instructors will know whether you should pursue the fitness routine or not! Your lips will surely tell them what to do!

The feeling of intense hunger after the workout.but the first thing to remember is discipline. I did go to the gym for almost 2 months, 3 times a week. But I did not continue the routine, that's why my body got almost doubled the size.😂😂

Lol! Yes, that's true!We need to have self-discipline to keep a healthy lifestyle. Distance of the gym from home and also work may hinder us to keep up with the routine but jogging and or walking around can be an alternative!☺️..Thanks for dropping by!

This was also my thoughts back when I used to go to the gym too and was just past 10 minutes start on the threadmill! 😂

The entrance fee is so cheap too, its so worth it. Pero mas mahal lng plete going there back and forth so puyo nlng sa ko dnhi sa balay. haha

Yoga and home workouts! 👍Nice!They're the best options to keep fit and healthy. I tried zumba at home, too but I couldn't keep the routine! Especially when you're doing it alone haha

Naukay mi sa fitness instructor man jud when she said,

"Cardio" sa ta una na ang pinatyanay!" Lol so I thought, " Can I survive this?"😂🤣

Haha! When I was a lot younger, I didn't care about exercising but as I got older, I realized I really need this..hehe if not in the gym. I was tagged along by a good friend and it's also nice to try working out in a gym. Thanks for dropping by☺️🥰

Tumpak sis!hehe..Pag nka lipstick, hindi nila makikita namumutla ka na kaya dapat pahinga muna. They also have an area where you can stay for the meantime..hehe

Hindi pa ako nakakapasok ng gym. Sa tanang buhay ko ayaw ata ng katawan ko yan kasi after mag gym alam ko naman na kakain nanaman ako ng masasarap. Hirap mag diet eh ayoko magsayang ng pera 🥹 Anyway, Ang mamacho naman ng mga fafa jan mars. 🤤 tsarot
