Hello! I am Niña Lorraine Herrera also known as “Teacher Nin” from the Central Visayas part of the Philippines. I am stepping into a new world in this platform, and I know for sure, that I am surrounded by great people. I am excited and can’t wait to share with you what’s inside my LIFE and that includes, wonderful places around me, things that I have, my daily routine and whereabouts.
I am a Professional Teacher with 5 years of experience teaching with kids and adults. I also love singing, dancing, travelling to new places, and radiate positivity. I love meeting new people, and I believe that this platform can help me share my thoughts, feelings and motivation. I am inspired and that’s one of the main reasons I am here with you all. I am hoping that you will enjoy, comment and love my blogs.
ABOUT MYSELF
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in General Science year 2018 and since then, I never stopped learning and loving what I do. Teaching is my passion and learning new knowledge is my goal in life. I don’t want to stop trying new things and taking risks. You know what? It’s draining and tiring to be a teacher but, I AM HAPPY knowing that I can impart something valuable in the life of my students.
Let me share with you an interesting fact where I got my name. Niña comes from the saint “baby Jesus” or know as SR. Sto Niño. My mother is a devotee of this saint and since I am a girl, they changed it into Niña. I have 3 siblings, and I am the youngest in the family and the cutest (most people say it). We are all Professional Teachers, and I am so happy to be part of the Teachers’ community. My Mother has already retired in her work as a government employee and is now relaxing at home with her grandchildren.
My mom is a hardworking mom. We may not have all the luxuries in life but, my mom never let us feel that we are poor, and we have nothing. She is a strong, kindhearted, selfless person and a Superwoman. She is always with us in every step of the way. She never fails to show her support in all the things that we do especially in academics and that made us all think that we need to work hard to give our mom a better life in the future. See? Life humbles you down if you are a believer of yourself and never use other people for your own sake.
Here comes the saddest part of life – Death. My father passed away year 2019. I was home after my board exam for Teachers at Cebu City, Philippines. Because of the very tiring day, I slept without eating my dinner. Around 3 in the morning, my aunt who is working at the hospital was the very first person that knows what happened. She called me and I was shocked. I literally bent down on my knees and prayed to God to spare my Father. I had around 10 minutes crying nonstop before going to the hospital since she said that my dad was DOA or Dead-on Arrival. I can’t explain what I was feeling, and I don’t know what to do. After that, I immediately go there and cried and cried. I don’t care what other people may say because I was so heartbroken. He died peacefully while sleeping. We are not a perfect family, we’re broken ones. But even though it was like that, I love my father. Truly there will be misunderstanding and hatred but love and forgiveness will always prevail. I love my dad and will always be.

@antonette and Sir @vinzie1 who guided me and shared their expertise. I never heard of this platform before and never imagine that here I am, writing and going out of my comfort zone. To ma'am @wittyzell for the help in creating my account. You are such a big blessing to me. I can share my thoughts through writing and showing pictures that will also let you feel like you are with me. We may not be physically together, but your support and love to my blogs, will mean a lot to me. I cannot wait to share more blogs with you!
