WHAT I LEARNED BEING CONSISTENT ON HIVE FOR FOUR MONTHS

With the newbies initiative currently accepting applications into their program, it made me a bit reminiscent because I was just in the program a few weeks ago and I decided to make a video on what I have learned being consistent on hive for four months and what regret not doing during this period.

This video was made with the intent to advise newbies and share my own experiences in hopes that it might help or motivate someone.

In the video, I spoke about certain things I have learned in my journey on hive like;

  1. Taking hive as a passion
  2. The importance of engagement and consistency.
  3. Not bending your articles to upvotes.
  4. Knowing that there will be good and bad days.
  5. having the mindset that no one owes you anything on hive.
  6. Utilizing the resources on hive
  7. lastly, exploring hive and stepping out of your comfort zones.

I do hope that those who are accepted into the program utilize it and if you do not know what the newbie initiative is about well, it is a program that was created by a group of people @starstrings01, @aliento amongst others to help new users/accounts so they understand how to properly navigate hive and this program has a duration of three months.

if you want to read more or apply to this program, you can check it out here.

You have truly learned a lot here on hive and I am going to take after you. Engagement truly is the best we should all be having right here as this is the best.

You have taught me something which I will always focus on right here on hive which I have not been doing.

Thanks a lot for this brilliant write up and message .....that Pearce through my heart.

@dreemport sent me here...

Thank you for reading, I am glad you learned something from me.

Thanx dear, this was mighty informative. Now I’m going to sign up for the newbie program…. Didn’t know that that was even a thing.

You should sign up for it, it is really amazing.

Great, I’m glad you learnt taking hive with passion and not for the money. Because the passion will definitely generate the money. This is a great piece for the newbies and I hope a lot of newbies apply for the program as it will definitely help them grow on the chain.

Thank you so much, @keishaa kindly check out this beautiful video

The best way to continue writing is to look at it that way or else it will get tiring.

Thank you babe ❤️❤️🥺💯

Yeah. I did understand that being able to really do more on Hive has a lot to do with how you see it. Which has eased my stress by a lot...

Love these new vlogs that you are doing 😍Some really sound advice for newbies. If I might add that even once you get semi-established on Hive, there will still be good days and bad days. On the bad days, lean into your tribe, your friends for support. Be there for each other. The wheel turns eventually. One of my favourite Zulu quotes comes from a song by Johnny Clegg called 3rd World Child:

Wo! Ilanga lobunzima Nalo liyashona Ukuthini asazi Mus' ukukhala Mntanami (oh! we don’t know when this sun of hardship will set. Don’t cry, my child.)

Thank you so much, I love videos but I was shying away, thank you for the feedback.

A community is very essential on hive, I feel like it makes a whole of difference.

It is absolutely essential. Otherwise, you exist in a vacuum, ships passing in the night. It is so important to have a tribe who has your back; to feel loved and supported, especially when the going gets tough.

I feel like people don't understand this aspect, I never really understood it either, just happened to get one through engagement.

@khaleesii! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @samsmith1971. (4/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want.

The last few months has been full of lessons for me too. I admire your courage to spread those lessons in your vlog. Far into the future, we'll look back and be glad we took this journey. I hope to see you there. ❤️❤️

Exactly, learned so much and we will keep learning more.

The newbie initiative by @starstrings01 served as a booster to building my hive account when I came here in April, 2021.

Highly educative, informative post.

@dreemport led me here.

That's totally amazing, I am glad you benefited from it also.
