En ocasión de participar en este nuevo concurso de la comunidad correspondiente al mes de julio y con el apoyo de @Skatehive hoy voy a presentarles mi entrada la cual me encantó crear. Estoy muy contenta de pertenecer a esta plataforma y siempre que tengo la oportunidad de elaborar la figura que la representa lo disfruto mucho. Quiero invitarlos a participar de este reto aún queda tiempo para hacerlo, además quiero invitar especialmente a los amigos @m16uellop y @andreasalas a mostrar sus creaciones.

On the occasion of participating in this new community contest for the month of July and with the support of @Skatehive today I'm going to present you my entry which I loved to create. I am very happy to belong to this platform and whenever I have the opportunity to make the figure that represents it I enjoy it very much. I want to invite you to participate in this challenge there is still time to do it, I also want to invite especially friends @m16uellop and @andreasalas to show their creations.
Elegí para este reto crear con la técnica del tejido a crochet un juego bastante conocido por todos nosotros, se llama aquí en Venezuela LA VIEJA. Es un pasatiempos que todos hemos jugado alguna vez mientras esperamos el transporte, estamos en la sala de espera o simplemente por diversión absoluta y querer ser el ganador 🏆 en algo alguna vez. Al parecer es un juego de estrategia que para muchos resulta fácil y muy entretenido. Espero que les guste este diseño. ¡Empezamos!
I chose for this challenge to create with the crochet knitting technique a game quite well known by all of us, it is called here in Venezuela LA VIEJA. It is a pastime that we all have played sometime while waiting for transportation, we are in the waiting room or just for absolute fun and wanting to be the winner 🏆 in something sometime. Apparently it's a strategy game that many find easy and very entertaining. I hope you like this design, let's get started!
🐝 Para realizar este diseño del juego La vieja utilicé los siguientes materiales:
- Hilos pabilos.
- Aguja de crochet de 2,25mm.
- Algodón para rellenar.
- Aguja lanera.
- Tijeras.
- Tela de fieltro.
- Panal de abejas ya tejido para la decoración y fotografías.
🐝 To make this design of the game La vieja I used the following materials:
- Thread wicks.
- Crochet needle of 2,25mm.
- Cotton for stuffing.
- Wool needle.
- Scissors.
- Felt cloth.
- Honeycomb already knitted for decoration and photographs.
🐝 El procedimiento para la elaboración de este lindo juego es el siguiente:
- Empezamos tejiendo con el hilo pabilo color terracota 16cm de cadena.
- Inmediatamente tejeremos 30 vueltas de pb siempre girando el tejido y subiendo con 1c para iniciar. El resultado será un rectángulo como el que puedes ver en las imágenes.
🐝 The procedure for the elaboration of this nice set is as follows:
- We start weaving with the thread pabilo color terracotta 16cm of chain.
- Immediately we will knit 30 rows of bp always turning the fabric and going up with 1c to start. The result will be a rectangle like the one you can see in the pictures.
🐝 Tomamos la aguja lanera y el hilo pabilo color negro, ensartamos el hilo en la aguja y procedemos a elaborar las líneas que definen este juego. Para ellos debemos medir el espacio de la superficie y luego dividirlo para que los cuadros internos se vean más o menos de la misma medida.
- Ahora empezamos a bordar por sobre las medidas para dejarlas visibles. Yo usé el punto atrás en espacios cortos y se ve bastante bien.
🐝 We take the wool needle and the black wick yarn, thread the yarn on the needle and proceed to draw the lines that define this set. For them we must measure the surface space and then divide it so that the internal squares look more or less the same size.
- Now we start embroidering over the measurements to leave them visible. I used the back stitch in short spaces and it looks pretty good.
🐝 Corresponde hacer las líneas verticales, debemos volver a medir para visualizar estas líneas y después bordarlas también con hilo negro. En mi diseño el tamaño me quedó ideal con los espacios para colocar las fichas de juego. Dejé un margen en cada uno de los bordes.
🐝 It corresponds to make the vertical lines, we must measure again to visualize these lines and then embroider them also with black thread. In my design the size was ideal for me with the spaces to place the game pieces. I left a margin on each of the edges.
🐝 El siguiente paso es convertir este tablero de juego en un saco donde guardaremos todas las fichas. Para ello tomamos un rectángulo de tela de fieltro de igual tamaño que el tablero tejido.
- Vamos a coser amabas piezas dejando una abertura en una de las partes horizontales del saco.
- Para coser usaremos el hilo pabilo color terracota.
🐝 The next step is to turn this game board into a sack where we will keep all the chips. To do this we take a rectangle of felt fabric of the same size as the woven board.
- We are going to sew both pieces together leaving an opening in one of the horizontal parts of the bag.
- To sew we will use the terracotta-colored pabilo thread.
🐝 Iniciamos con la elaboración de las fichas de juego.
🐝 We start with the preparation of the game chips.
🐝 Realicé flores Margaritas y apliques de Abejas para las fichas.
- Con el hilo amarillo tejí 6pb en un am. Después tejí una vuelta de aumentos para obtener 12pb.
- Realicé un cambio de color a blanco para realizar 12 pétalos en la siguiente vuelta; estos pétalos se forman tejiendo 2pc-1pma-2pc-1pd todo en un mismo pb de la vuelta anterior. Para pasar al siguiente punto hice pd y repetí los pasos hasta tejer los 12 pétalos en color blanco. Cerré y rematé.
🐝 I made Daisy flowers and Bee appliques for the tokens.
- With the yellow yarn I knit 6pb in one am. Then I knit a round of increases to get 12pb.
- I made a color change to white to make 12 petals in the next round; these petals are formed by knitting 2pc-1pma-2pc-1pd all in one stitch of the previous round. To move to the next stitch I knitted pd and repeated the steps until I knit all 12 petals in white. I closed and finished off.
🐝 El aplique de la abeja se teje siguiendo los siguientes pasos o patrón:
- Iniciamos con 6pb en un am con hilo color amarillo. La próxima vuelta tejeremos 5aum de pb para obtener 10pb. No cerramos la vuelta y hacemos un cambio de hilo a color negro.
- Levantamos 3c y tejemos 2aum de pa en los dos próximos puntos, seguidamente hacemos otro pa para culminar la vuelta, antes de cerrarla cambiamos de hilo a color amarillo (puedes cortar la hebra o ir escondiéndola por el tejido)
- Tejemos 6pa en color amarillo, antes de finalizar la vuelta cambiamos a color negro. Ahora levantamos 3c y 6pa que cerraremos juntos. Rematamos y escondemos todas las hebras.
🐝 The bee applique is knitted following the next steps or pattern:
- We start with 6bp in an am with yellow color yarn. Next round we will knit 5aum of bp to obtain 10bp. We do not close the row and make a yarn change to black color.
- Pick up 3c and we knit 2aum of purl in the next two stitches, then we knit another purl to finish the row, before closing it we change the yarn to yellow (you can cut the yarn or hide it in the fabric).
- We knit 6pa in yellow color, before the end of the row we change to black color. Now we pick up 3c and 6pa that we will close together. We finish off and hide all the strands.
🐝 Las alitas de las abejas las tejí con hilo blanco, levantando 4c-1pad-4c-1pd en un mismo punto. Tejí dos a cada abeja.
- El ojo de la abejita se lo borde con hilo color negro, usando la aguja lanera.
🐝 Con un trocito de tela de fieltro color terracota vamos a fortalecer cada ficha colocándole en la parte de atrás una tapita, cortamos los círculos para las flores y para las abejas formas ovaladas. También servirá para ocultar cualquier hebra que haya quedado visible. Para pegarla usé silicón caliente.
🐝 I knitted the wings of the bees with white thread, raising 4c-1pad-4c-1pd in the same point. I knitted two to each bee.
- The bee's eye is embroidered with black thread, using the lan needle
🐝 With a small piece of terracotta-colored felt fabric we will strengthen each card by placing a small cap on the back, cut out circles for the flowers and oval shapes for the bees. It will also serve to hide any threads that may be visible. To glue it I used hot silicone.

Ah qué bien, me alegra que conozcan el juego. Aquí lo jugamos con ceros y cruces también cuando usamos lápiz, pero en crochet se puede con todo 😂
