Febrero es el mes del amor ❤️ y para sumar amor a mi nuevo hogar quería hacer algo que además de ser decoración linda sea algo para poder utilizar, mi viejo alfiletero ya no daba para más, después de tantos años necesitaba uno nuevo, fue uno de mis primeros proyectos de costura así que hacer uno nuevo no era para nada una mala idea.
February is the month of love ❤️ and to add love to my new home I wanted to do something that, in addition to being a nice decoration, is something that can be used. My old pincushion was no longer useful, after so many years I needed a new one. It was one of my first sewing projects, so making a new one was not a bad idea at all.
Para hacer esto utilice una tela que me encanta, es de un antiguo proyecto de buzo, sigo utilizando mis retazos, esta tela me gusta no solo por su color que es un lila muy lindo, sino que además es super suave, creo que va a ser bueno para un alfiletero ya que los alfileres no tendrán dificultad para pinchar.
To make this I used a fabric that I love, it is from an old diving project, I continue using my scraps, I like this fabric not only for its color, which is a very pretty lilac, but it is also super soft, I think it will be good for a pincushion since the pins will have no difficulty in sticking it.
Doble la tela y dibujé un corazón por la mitad, luego lo corté y con esa misma pieza volví a hacer lo mismo, pero esta vez con la base del primer corazón ya en tela para que quedaran lo mas parejos posible.
I folded the fabric and drew a heart in half, then I cut it out and with that same piece I did the same thing again, but this time with the base of the first heart already in fabric so that they would be as even as possible.
La costura es muy simple, cosí con máquina recta en puntada zigzag, en el tamaño más ancho para que la tela no se tense mucho, la primera costura la hice toda por alrededor con los frentes hacia adentro, deje un pequeño espacio para darle la vuelta y rellenar.
The sewing is very simple, I sewed with a straight machine in zigzag stitch, in the widest size so that the fabric would not be too tight, I made the first seam all around with the fronts facing inwards, leaving a small space to turn it over and stuff.

Con esto listo empecé a rellenar, es bastante más grande que mi alfiletero anterior, al rellenarlo quedo muy mullido también, esto va a ayudar a que mis alfileres este más espaciados.
With this ready I started to stuff it, it is quite a bit bigger than my previous pincushion, when stuffing it it is also very fluffy, this will help my pins to be more spaced out.
Para cerrar el hueco que dejé para voltear hice toda una costura pisada también con zigzag, debería practicar mis costuras invisibles a mano, hace tanto no las hago que ya olvide como hacer esto.
To close the gap I left for turning, I made a whole seam with a zigzag seam as well. I should practice my invisible seams by hand, it's been so long since I did them that I've forgotten how to do this.
Lo último que restaba hacer era poner los alfileres y ahora si esta todo en orden, me gusta mucho como quedo, aporta un poco de color a mi mesa y es un pequeño regalo de san Valentín para mí ❤️.
The last thing left to do was to put the pins and now everything is in order, I really like how it looks, it adds a bit of color to my table and it's a little Valentine's gift for me ❤️.
